Maddox is wearing a new uniform this Grassroots season. Treyvon is a long and rangy guard-wing for Team Curry. He has a nice wingspan to be disruptive in the passing lanes with his play to pick up deflections.
Treyvon brings good versatility to the floor with his ability to defend multiple positions. He will handle the rock up the floor in the half court or in transition.
Teal Jr. is a physical force getting the ball downhill to the bucket. Melvin has a good set of shoulders and upper strength to overpower defenders on the way to the cup. Teal Jr. rarely left the floor here today for the Charleston Raptors .
Melvin plays his best basketball going to the basket in attack mode. He plays at Summerville HS down in the Charleston area.
Dunbar scored the ball from all 3 levels here today for the new Stars Gold 17U program. Daron has a very good mid-range game, and it showed today. He was able to stalk the baseline for some buckets in return.
Daron brings a competitive edge to the floor at all times with his play. Dunbar has no problems playing on the ball as a defender.
Cisse just doesn’t excel on the hardwood as a player. He also seems to be a pretty darn good football player. Cedric was able to change directions very easily here today on the way to the bucket. He showed a nice 1-dribble pullup game.
Cedric really looks to battle on the floor for loose balls and has no problems taking a charge. Cisse a tough-minded guard was able to connect on some open looks from the perimeter here today.
Phillips came out on fire today for his Upward Stars Upstate squad. Kaleb shoots the ball with confidence from behind the three-point line. He really shot the ball today from downtown at a good percentage clip. Kaleb was constantly ready to receive the ball in the pocket while showing a quick shot release. He was able to set his feet and let it fly all day long.
