Here are six stars who shined in the 17U category on day two of the Jayhawk Jam (in alphabetical order):
Tate Campbell Tate Campbell 6'2" | SG Christian Heritage Academy | 2025 OK , 6-foot-2 guard, 2025, Christian Heritage Academy, Okla., Servants Gold:
Servants Gold was really good all weekend, and Campbell provided a ton of leadership. Offensively, he plays equally well with the ball or off it, putting his high IQ to work. He’s an unselfish player who finds his teammates in good position with the ball. He runs the baseline, making himself a option because he can knock down the three at a high rate. He’s a quick defender, cutting off drivers and getting into passing lanes.
Antonio Green Antonio Green 5'10" | PG Putnam City West | 2025 OK , 5-foot-10 guard, 2025, Putnam City West High School, Okla., Oklahoma Takeover 1:
Green is the consummate point guard, handling the ball expertly, calming everyone around him and getting them the ball in good spots. He showed off the ability to get the ball to post players when others might not be able to. But Green is also dynamite at getting his own shots. He is smooth on penetration, creating opening to drop a very accurate floater. He has blowby ability when he decides to go. When he’s on the perimeter, Green also dropped a bunch of threes with a quick release.
Josiah Harris Josiah Harris NE , 6-foot-1 guard, 2025, Lincoln Northwest High School, Neb., Nebraska Select :
Harris stood out for a really good team. Perhaps his best contribution was his lockdown defense. When Harris is focused on taking out one opponent, he can make life miserable for them. His burst of quickness led to several impressive steals from good ball handlers. Harris obviously takes a lot of pride in his defense, but he’s no slouch at the other end. He is physically powerful and super quick, so he is a handful when he gets on the drive, and he sees shooters for kickouts. On runouts, he throws down some nice two-handed dunks too.
Gavin Kubik Gavin Kubik 6'5" | SG Lincoln Southeast | 2026 NE , 6-foot-5 forward, 2026, Lincoln Southeast High School, Neb., Nebraska Select :
Harris’ teammate on Nebraska Select , Kubik was arguably the best shooter in Lawrence over the weekend. He’s got the most calm, effortless stroke from deep. He didn’t force shots, but wasn’t afraid to put it up with a hand in his face. For a guy playing up a year, Kubik was under control throughout. He has a nice combination of length and athleticism to defend in the paint, take a rebound the other way, and contribute at all three levels.
Elvis Lloyd, 6-foot-2 guard, 2025 Kent Denver High School, Colo., PSB 2025 Goodrich:
A tweener who could be considered a guard or a forward, Loyd did it all for his team. He is a long armed, athletic leaper who has a nice feel for the game. He hit a lot long jumpers, including some stepbacks to create space and pullups in the lane over tall opponents. He also showed nice touch from beyond the arc. He also finished tough on drives in traffic, showing a creative scoring knack. He didn’t neglect the defensive end, getting some blocks and steals, guarding on the perimeter and in the paint well.
Titus Westrope Titus Westrope 6'4" | PF Pond Creek-Hunter | 2025 OK , 6-foot-4 forward, 2025, Pond Creek-Hunter High School, Okla., Legacy Youth Basketball 2025:
Oh man can this guy do it all. He’s a naturally big player who is being asked to help handle some point guard duties. He never stops working, and is in the fight for everything, all the time. He runs the floor hard, cleans up a lot of misses, and can guard both bigs inside and ball handlers on the perimeter. He can grab a rebound and push it the full length of the floor. With his size and power, he just overwhelms a lot of opponents. He drives really well and finishes through any kind of contact.
