Now, here are four forwards and a center we added to the 2026 rankings from 1A-3A schools:
#29 Boston Ekart Boston Ekart 6'5" | SF Sterling | 2026 State KS , 6-foot-5 forward, 2026, Sterling:
The lanky, bouny Ekart blew up this year, taking over a lot of the playmaking role for the Blackbears. In the halfcourt, he is a shooter and slasher who can exploit defenses if they sag off, or if they crowd him on the perimeter. He can use his length to get second-chance opportunities and to rise up for midrange jumpers. In transition, he’s even more dangerous. He covers the court in a hurry with his long strides and finishes with authority. He helped Sterling the consolation round of the 2A tournament, scoring 14 points per game.
#30 Ronnie Baker Ronnie Baker 6'3" | C Perry-Lecompton | 2026 State KS , 6-foot-3 center, 2026, Perry-Lecompton:
Baker’s body type belies his abilities. He looks like a banger, and he certainly can get it done around the bucket. He has a broad upper body and can finish through traffic. He has a soft touch at the rim and in the midrange. But you might not guess by looking at him just how good he is from deep. He hit a ridiculous 48% from beyond the arc. He can defend the post, rebound at a high level and affect drivers.
#51 Gavin Wahl Gavin Wahl 6'2" | SF South Gray | 2026 State KS , 6-foot-2 forward, 2026, South Gray:
South Gray had some stud seniors, but the sophomore Wahl was essential to the Rebels title run. He was a versatile and reliable piece during the regular season with 12 points and 7 boards per game. He went off in the tournament, hitting 10-17 from deep and rolled up 11, 13 and 26 points in the three game run, shooting 60% from the field.
#55 Jasper Sallee Jasper Sallee 6'3" | PF Osawatomie | 2026 State KS , 6-foot-3 forward, 2026, Osawatomie:
Sallee went into last summer looking to build on a nice first exposure to varsity ball as a freshman. He showed a ton of versatility as a shooter who can also mix it up in the lane, rebounding and defending against bigger opponents. As a sophomore, he put that experience to work, getting 11.5 points and 4 rebounds per game.
#57 Cameron Miller Cameron Miller 6'4" | SF Rossville | 2026 State KS , 6-foot-4 forward, 2026, Rossville:
An impressive multi-sport star, basketball isn’t Miller’s number one sport. It might not even be number two. But you have to love the athleticism and explosion he brings as a big man who can play in space, run the floor, shoot and get physical. As you would expect from a big man with great ball skills, Miller put up a diverse stat line: 11 points, 5 boards, 2 assists and 2 steals.
