Thompson has game for the AGES in Meanstreets 15U W Against Loaded Florida Rebels
When you get to witness a special performance it sometimes is fun to just set back and watch. That was what it felt like watching Bolingbrook 2027 star Davion Thompson on Sunday morning in their first game of the day. The shooting guard had absolutely everything working. He had the crafty finishing moves, mid-range game, and was banging in three after three. Went for an INSANE 47 points (17-19 FG) (8-9 3 PT) (5-5 FT). He absolutely did whatever he wanted. And he was going against one of the best PGs in the nation in his class and a top 5 ranked big man nationally. It didn’t matter! He carried his Meanstreets 15U squad to a 82-68 win over the Florida Rebels. Also love what Quinton Kitt brings to the table. The East Peoria wing is an elite connector, defender, and rebounder on the wing. Can also knock down shots from distance showing off his versatile game in a 15 point outing. Jaxson Davis pushed the pace all game long as the Warren star got Thompson the ball in positions to do damage. Another strong game for Howard Williams as the Whitney Young big man scored with athleticism around the hoop and hit a corner three for 9 points.
Cayden Daughtry for the Florida Rebels had a big showing of his own while also being very efficient scoring 27 points on 9-12 from the field including 5-5 from deep. The scoring lead guard has a lethal shot from beyond the arc including several off balance with hands in his grill. Plus shooter that has shake off the bounce and in transition with good body control. Big man Jeremy Jenkins was recently ranked by ESPN as a top 5 player in the 2027 class. Can see why with his big frame, ability to rebound everything in his area, and swatting shots. Got to the line where he showed touch. Very bright future for this young post!
Expressions 17U Star Power Overwhelms Meanstreets
Next up we saw Expressions Elite shine against Meanstreets in a 17U contest winning 62-48. Expressions is stacked with prospects. The best might be 2025 Dwayne Aristode. The big and athletic wing brings a great frame, size, and athleticism on the perimeter. Plus shot maker from three that hit them off the catch with a smooth stroke. Also can post up weaker defenders, slash with explosive takes, and showed some playmaking feel as well notching 17 points and 7 assists. Strong bodied 2025 wing Jaylen Harrell has great size and strength. Like Aristode he can really be effective as a knock down shooter off the catch along with crashing the glass recording 17 points. London Jemison is a physical slashing wing that made plays at the basket and getting to the line for 10 points. Nigel James is the conductor of it all. The heady floor general runs the show while knocking in short jumpers for 8 points.
It was the best we have seen from La Lumiere (IN) wing Melvin Bell in quite some time. The shooting guard originally from Chicago came out aggressive vs Expressions and never relented. He took good angles getting to the cup, scored through contact, along with acrobatic finishes around it notching 17 points. Whitney Young wing Antonio Munoz flashed with a step back three and big transition dunk. Speaking of dunks the one by Phillips lead guard EJ Horton late was impressive going baseline before throwing down a huge tomahawk slam. Crisp passing, pushed pace, and was athletic in the open floor going for 14 points.
Boozer Lives Up to Elite Status as Nightrydas Top PSA Cardinals in 17U Contest
This one was loaded with prospects all over the floor! Nightrydas from Florida defeated PSA Cardinals 70-66 in a matchup of two of the best teams in the EYBL. Cameron Boozer lived up to billing as the #2 prospect in the 2025 class with an excellent performance. The big man showed off his versatility scoring in a number of ways. Post ups, straight line takes, put backs, coast to coast takes, high/low seals. He also was dominant on the glass all game long recording 23 points and 21 rebounds in the win including the offensive rebound and free throws to seal the win. One of the more productive post players in recent memory! His brother Cayden Boozer is a combo guard that brings plus athleticism on both ends. Pushes in the open floor and plays above the rim with acrobatic conversions. He had 11 points. Alex Lloyd is a versatile two way wing that can defend multiple positions along with being a smooth scorer scoring in transition, with athleticism at the cup, and hitting a three. He had 13 points. Dante Allen is a big wing with strength that is at his best shooting off the catch and getting to the line netting 16 points.
PSA Cardinals were led by Kayden Mingo who had it all working. The scoring two guard was magnificent in this one scoring from all three levels. Hit 4-6 from three point range while also scoring on an array of tough slashes. Going to be a big time player at the next level! It was a slow start for La Lumiere (IN) standout Darius Adams, but he got it going in the second half. Silky smooth wing that has a clean stroke from three and some creativity off the bounce. Rebounds well from his guard spot as he had 13 points and 5 rebounds.
Indy Heat 17U 5-Stars Take Turns in Win Over Drive Nation
The Indy Heat squad features two of the best guards in the country in Jeremiah Fears and Jalan Haralson. They can both play on or off the ball. In their victory against Drive Nation Fears dominating scoring in the first half while Haralson took over in the second half. Fears is a dynamic combo guard committed to Illinois and the Joliet native who now plays at AZ Compass Prep in Arizona had a monster first half scoring 13 of his 23 points (9-21 FG). Also had 5 rebounds and 3 dimes. The athleticism and handles have continued to progress. Even when the deep ball isn’t falling he can score in the paint and get to the line. Volume scoring guard that is electric with the rock in his hands. In the second half La Lumiere (IN) guard Jalen Haralson took over. He had a killer mindset as soon as he stepped back on the floor. The broad shouldered guard was aggressive getting downhill with burst while getting to the line at a very high rate notching 19 points in the 66-59 win.
Like what we saw out of Jaden Toombs. The slimmed down five man excelled using his excellent footwork around the hoop being efficient scoring in the paint for 19 points.
LivOn Comes Back to Defeat Mac Irvin Fire 17U
With a steal and bucket followed by a tip in with a couple seconds left LivOn out of Louisiana prevailed over Mac Irvin Fire 61-59. It was the Mike Williams show again. The scoring guard was once again spectacular with 29 points. Super athletic scorer that gets to the lane with such burst and can score from all three levels. Breakout weekend for him!
Nicolet (WI) small forward Davion Hannah had a strong second half as he used his quick twitched athleticism and bounce to score in transition with acrobatic finishes at the cup. Posts up smaller defenders, crashes the glass, and can win off the bounce. Went for 18 points. Top Illinois 2025 prospect Bryce Heard of Homewood Flossmoor was solid in this one. Big wing with athleticism scored with crisp mid-range jumpers and was fouled getting to the rim. Showed some flashes defensively in his 13 point outing.
More Illinois Quick Hitters
Andre Tyler (Simeon) had a big game on Sunday scoring 20 points in a loss to the Florida Rebels. Tyler is a top 10 prospect in the 2026 class and will be the go to guy for the Wolverines the next two seasons.
Howard Williams (Meanstreets) had a massive outing continuing his breakout spring going for 41 points and 12 rebounds in Meanstreets 15U’s second victory of the day. High-motored combo forward that’s biggest development has been his consistency as a shooter.
