De'Costa Ricks (Gallatin) intends to sign Wednesday. In the last couple of months he has been fond of UT Southern and Cumberland, but I expect his recruitment to be filled with suitors until the last day.

Dexter Lewis (Fulton) verbally commits to Motlow State University. His teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1135401' first='Tyler' last='Lee'] signed to Central Arkansas and brothers [player_tooltip player_id='1381653' first='Denaj' last='Kimber'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1381652' first='Taj' last='Kimber'] verbally committed to Tusculum University.

Further, Zak McElroy (Cascade HS) verbally committed to Pellissippi State days ago.

Elite on-ball defender [player_tooltip player_id='1718013' first='Kenny' last='Ellis'] (Green Hill) signed to Columbia State and made it official Monday. Green Hill Head Coach Troy Allen is retiring after years of sending players to college basketball. Kenny is a wonderful dude to put a bow on that. Ellis will graduate ranked #39 by PrepHoopsTN.

Columbia State Community College will bring on [player_tooltip player_id='2045018' first='Antonio' last='Ward'] (Rockvale) to redshirt. Ward injured his leg in the winter and missed most of his senior season. Ward's reputation, as a person, helped keep alive his basketball future in the short-term. College coaches, speaking generically, do not like to bring players into a program that will cause headaches or problems, which is very possible for redshirt guys. Imagine not being able to do what you did for the last 13ish years every winter and just watching it courtside. Emotions and anger can bubble up. [player_tooltip player_id='2045018' first='Antonio' last='Ward'] is a high-character, hard-working, former PrepHoopsTN Combine MVP that will only make Columbia State Community College better in the near future. When he is healthy again there is a real possibility he impacts the program on the court too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2321809' first='Emanuel' last='Allen'] (Ridgeway) verbally committed to Columbia State Community College, though he is not formally signed just yet.

[player_tooltip player_id='1563745' first='Daunte' last='White'] signed to Columbia State University. He is one of the best forwards in the entire state, though slightly undersized (height). He gives not an inch when engaged in rebounding battles. Strength is a plus. White is the kind of guy that can inspire toughness in his teammates and La Vergne's breakout season was in large part thanks to White and Head Coach Tony Rutland.

Snead State Community College (Alabama) was recruiting him until the end.
