Isaac Cordes Isaac Cordes 6'0" | PG Shakopee | 2025 State MN , Keller Hanson Keller Hanson 6'4" | SG Sauk Rapids Rice | 2025 State MN and Ryan Beckwith Ryan Beckwith 6'2" | SG Farmington | 2025 State MN surely fall into this category as well but we spoke on them in top performers.
Cooper Carlson Cooper Carlson 6'1" | PG Minneapolis Washburn | 2025 State MN of Minnesota Heat Academic (Minneapolis Washburn, 6’2, Sg). Teams need shooting, Carlson shoots it. This past winter Carlson, who is an excellent student as well, scored a dozen a game for a top ten Class AAAA team and this past weekend he was the main shooting/scoring threat for his team.
Brooks Johnson Brooks Johnson 6'6" | SF Duluth Marshall | 2025 State MN of Minnesota Select Ohnstad (Duluth Marshall, 6’6, Sf). Brooks has some of the strongest legs and core to go with face-up skill that you will see. Solid shooter but good on the attack, and quality finishing, he can collect and push the ball in a way that is rare for a guy his strength and size, and as a player that’s played spots 1-5 in high school and previous AAU years, he is versatile. I think Brooks is being an off-the ball active constant producer away from constant big numbers at 17u because off the ball he has the size and agility to get to spots to score that moving defenders can’t deal with.
Alex Lester Alex Lester 6'7" | C Nevis | 2025 State MN of Minnesota Comets (Nevis, 6’8, Big). Basically everything I thought about Lester coming into the 2024 calendar year, he is a bit more than what I thought. Lester is a bit taller, a big strong, a bit more physical, a bit more productive, a bit better on the block with his touches, and a bit better rebounder than I thought. Add up all of that and Lester is surely a better prospect now than when I saw him mid-winter.
Devin Pass Devin Pass 6'3" | SG Shakopee | 2025 State MN of Minnesota Fury (Shakopee, 6’3, Sg). Pass made big shots all weekend in St. Cloud which was important to his team earning second place. That said, it was his fight, energy and toughness that jolted his team and may have been the most important thing Devin provided. This is a tough kid that will take on a tough assignment and make a tough shot. Certainly took a big step forwards in our eyes.
Brayson Sawyer Brayson Sawyer 6'4" | SF Rochester John Marshall | 2025 MN of Minnesota Heat Presbi (Rochester JM, 6’4, SG/SF). Having seen Sawyer three times in the past three months I think I can safely say that I think he has a bright future at the next level. Bigger wing with a really good touch that also has some toughness, and seems to have some defensive understanding. The biggest thing though is that Brayson shoots it well and is taking a nice step forward.
Preston Thielke Preston Thielke 6'2" | CG Champlin Park | 2025 State MN of Minnesota Crossfire Young (Champlin Park, 6’4, SG/SF). I think Preston can fall into that “under the radar” bucket as far as an all around talent that might not be appreciated on the level he should be. There is a lot to like here: size is quality, multi sport standout (QB), really good handles in a big frame (190lbs), has some pop to his step and pop to his lift, Love his touch on the move. Lots of football looks but I think they would come at a similar level for hoops if college basketball wasn’t transfer dominated.
