Avery Collins
Avery Collins
Avery Collins is coming off a big year in District 10. He averaged 25 points per game and was honored with First-Team All Region, First-Team All District, and Second-Team All State. Collins excels primarily due to his exceptional ball-handling skills. His shooting mechanics are smooth, and he is effective with his pull-up jumper and mid-range game. His ability to stop on a dime and elevate for a jumper off the dribble is a throwback to when the mid-range game was essential for every player. But Collins also has range. He has a nice step back and can hit shots from well beyond the arc. During the summer, I’d like to see him work on getting the ball to the rim and finishing through contact.
Peja Strobl
Peja Strobl
Peja Strobl is definitely making some noise with his recent performances in the AAU season, where he scored a standout 27 points in a game on the Made Hoops circuit. Strobl’s shooting ability is one of his biggest strengths. His ability to set his feet quickly and release from deep makes him a lethal threat from beyond the arc. Strobl also has a high basketball IQ, particularly in transition where his excellent passing vision is notable. He makes quick decisions on the fast break to find open teammates in scoring positions. Defensively, Strobl is no slouch. He uses his good height and physicality to challenge opponents. He is definitely a guard that is going to start getting more and more recognition across the state.
Alex Price
Alex Price
Alex Price’s shooting ability is the highlight of his game. His midrange game is particularly strong. Beyond his shooting, Price’s physicality and strength are notable. He does not shy away from contact and he finishes well at the rim. He fully represents toughness and determination. In fast-break situations, Price shines. He makes intelligent decisions quickly. He reads the floor well and anticipates the movement of the game.
Maddox Bennett
Maddox Bennett
Maddox Bennett is emerging as a standout player to watch in Western Pennsylvania’s 2026 class. Bennett possesses a smooth shooting stroke. That said, Bennett has shown considerable growth in his game, demonstrating that he has the versatility to evolve into a well-rounded player. Last season, Bennett averaged 14 points per game. He is beginning to attract attention from NAIA schools. His performance in the early AAU season has been particularly notable.
Eric James Jr. boasts exceptional athleticism and a comprehensive skill. He has impressive quickness and excels on the fast-break. He also has excellent shooting range. What truly sets James apart is his explosive athleticism and ability to finish at the rim through contact. He has already started to attract the attention of mid-major D1 programs. Expect him to have a huge AAU season.
