Continue ReadingPrior to this spring, we had only seen limited amounts of Mansfield because of how much talent he had to sit behind at Grayson. Now with Team Huncho, Mansfield is gaining the attention he deserves. He serves as the ultimate glue guy for Huncho, willing to do the dirty work and able to play inside or out. Mansfield’s size and athleticism make for a lot of positional versatility but I think he’ll ultimately settle into the small forward position and he has a ton of upside there. Expect to hear this name a lot more as Mansfield should see a major role increase as a junior at Grayson.
Highlights
Bobby Buggs Bobby Buggs 6’0″ | PG Eagle’s Landing | 2026 State GA has been on our radar for a while now, first garnering attention as a freshman at Heritage before helping Eagles Landing reach the state championship as a sophomore. Still, he’s managed to showcase improvements in his game and up his stock this spring. Buggs is a skilled and heady guard prospect with some flashy passing ability. He shoots the three-ball with accuracy and range, also able to get to the second and third levels using his crafty handle and change of speeds. Buggs looks to be in for a big summer with AE5 after a strong month of April.
Despite putting up some big numbers at St. Anne-Pacelli, Jayddence Ford Jayddence Ford 5’8″ | PG St. Anne Pacelli | 2026 State GA was still slept on by many. He’s quickly put the entire state on notice this spring. Ford is a volume scorer and he’s provided heavy doses of point production for Team Scoot. Not only does Ford know how to get to his spots and create separation, he can knock down shots from just about anywhere within 30 feet. If Ford keeps playing like he has been through March and April, he could be considered one of the top point guards in Georgia’s 2026 class by the end of the summer.

Bryce Howson Bryce Howson 5’11” | PG Decatur | 2026 State GA could have played for a lot of the top shoe teams this spring but instead, opted to play up with Bo Bell Elite’s 17u squad. They’ve given Howson the keys and he’s shined as the primary playmaker. He’s a true floor general that knows how to get his teammates involved but isn’t afraid to carry the scoring load when he needs to. He excels in the mid-range, so consistent on floaters and pull-ups. Howson is still one of the most underrated guards in his class but he’s certainly helped build his profile this spring.

Huey Blalock Huey Blalock 5’8″ | PG Rabun County | 2026 State GA is one of North Georgia’s best hidden gems and he’s made the most of his spring so far. Blalock is playing with the Atlanta Timberwolves who have a proven track record with similar point guards and the fit has proven mutually beneficial so far. Blalock is a playmaking point guard with real-deal creativity. He has terrific vision and feel for the game, both mental traits that set great point guards apart. Blalock also shoots the three-ball well, both off the dribble and the catch. Expect Blalock’s name to grow more and more popular among scouts this summer.
