Conveniently positioned ahead of the pack, Woodlee received an instant outlet pass, and finished a comfortable layup. Maryville led 33-16 early in the second quarter afterwards.

The Lions beat the halftime buzzer with a three-pointer. The made basket helped them close the deficit to 4 points, a significant achievement considering their lackluster offensive start to the game. They trailed 28-24 after trailing 17-9 after the first quarter.

In the third quarter, instead of forcing a shot against three defenders, Kendrick Lloyd Kendrick Lloyd 6'2" | SG Red Bank | 2024 State TN hit a cutting Anthony Bonner Anthony Bonner 6'2" | SG Red Bank | 2024 State TN . Bonner managed to drop a difficult floater from 7'. Just a little bit later Red Bank finally caught Lawrence County, tying the game for the first time since 0-0, this time at 30-30. In fact, Red Bank exited the third quarter with a two-point lead.

After a missed three-pointer by Colin Ayers Colin Ayers 6'0" | PG Cookeville | 2024 State TN , Tyrese Stovall Tyrese Stovall 6'8" | PF Bradley Central | 2025 State TN dunked home a missed shot for Bradley Central. They trapped Cookeville successfully in the backcourt and CHS called a timeout, up 39-27 mid-3Q.
