Continue ReadingThe Georgia Stars are looking to make some real noise this Spring and Summer and have the roster make up to do just that. These are some of the Freshman student-athlete, with next level potential, that you may see in a Georgia Stars uniform, in the coming months.
This group will be coached by Edima Ufot (Coach Dee), who has been with the Stars program over the last few years, and qualified for the Nike EYBL Peach Jam the past two seasons. During that time, Coach Dee has coached several former current Power 5 and pro level players. His assistant coach, Terrell Jackson (Coach Jack), Associate Coach at Clarke Central, has coached the last few years, as an assistant with Game Elite 3SSB. One of Game Elite’s most notable players is No. 3 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Scoot Henderson.
With all these pieces coming together, they are looking turn heads and put the country on notice.
Jayden Wilkins
Jayden Wilkins
Jayden Wilkins is a name that’s been buzzing around the state ever since he became the youngest player to play with Overtime Elite. He’s been training and playing with and against elite level talent and it’s gained him a lot of attention from his peers and coaches. He’s a playmaking, 3-level scorer that can and shoot or take a defender off the dribble. He’s able to get to his spots and showcasing his IQ while doing it. His athleticism has been steadily improving and as it continues, he’s going to be one of those names that’s getting a lot of early, national attention.
Coming off an MVP performance, in the Class 4A State Championship game, Justin Wise Justin Wise 6’3″ | CG North Oconee | 2027 State GA , is a key piece for this Stars roster. He’s knock down shooter who can get hot at any moment, plays both ways, pushes the ball well in transition, and makes good decisions with the ball. He’s beginning to shoot more off the dribble and doing so will simply add to is offensive abilities.

Aaron Britt Jr. Aaron Britt Jr. 6’1″ | CG The Villages | 2027 FL is a guard that who can put the ball on the floor, get downhill, and make plays for himself and others. Not only can he finish at the rim, but he can also finish above it. He is relentless in his attack which is going to challenge defenders at all times. Britt’s abilities makes the combination with Wilkins and Wise a three-headed monster that could make some real noise on the national stage.
Galen Roberts Galen Roberts 6’6″ Midtown | 2027 GA gives the Stars another shooter from the perimeter. His long and lanky build often times gives him an advantage and helps create mismatches for opposing teams. He can catch and shoot the deep ball with a smooth release and when he’s aggressive and gets in the mix, he can be an effective rebounder and help his team gain the edge on the boards. As he adds more muscle to his frame, look for Galen to be a highly inside-out Forward that can score on all 3-levels.
After a successful Freshman season, where Braydon Langston Braydon Langston 6’5″ | SF East Hall | 2027 State GA earned All-Region honors, look for him to be one of the top defenders for this Stars team. Braydon plays all out on defense, deflecting and altering shots, regardless of who he’s guarding. At 6’5″, he has good length that allows him to finish at the rim and elevate above defenders when knocking down mid-range shots.

Brock Bass-Bonner Brock Bass-Bonner 6’7″ | PF North Cobb Christian | 2027 State GA is a physical, hardworking Forward that uses his power and strength to get to his spots on the court. He can finish around the rim, above the rim, and in the paint. He attacks the basket with relentlessness and has a motor to match. He brings an added level of toughness to this Stars team, which gives them personality and versatility.

Armond Smith
Armond Smith
Armond Smith, though slightly undersized for a guard, makes up for his lack of height with his skills and feel for the game. He’s incredibly quick and changes direction well. Paint touches come easy for him which allows him to get to the rim and finish around taller defenders and in traffic. Smith has the ability to knock down mid-range shots efficiently, handle the ball well, and make plays for himself and others.
Marcus Curry
Marcus Curry
Marcus Curry is a high intensity, two-way player. He’s a combo guard that looks to score, when the ball is in his hands. In addition to scoring, he’s a very high energy player that’s always active and making plays. He dives for loose balls, takes charges, deflects passes, alters shots, and creates turnovers. As he gets even more aggressive with his looks, this kid will really turn some heads of college coaches.
Josh Barnes
Josh Barnes
Josh Barnes is one of the utility players on the Stars. He’s one of the more versatile guys on the squad. He’s a good shooter that plays hard, can push the ball in transition and lead the break, and plays very aggressively. He won’t be hard to miss as he’ll be on the winning end of 50/50 balls and hustles all 94 feet. Josh’s competitiveness is one of his strongest attributes and it helps fuels are the ways he’s able to impact a game.
Success Nwabude
Success Nwabude
Success Nwabude was an impact player for his Athens Christian Eagles. He’s incredibly athletic, can knock down the occasional deep ball, and is a workhorse. He’s a strong shot blocker and rebounder, and he defends well on the perimeter. Success has been expanding his perimeter game and is becoming more comfortable knocking down shots beyond the arc. He has a very athletic frame and has a really high ceiling.
