Over 220 teams invaded Houston to take their shot at the $1,000 cash prize at the Annual Spring Ice Breaker hosted by legendary event operator, Jim Hicks, owner and operator of RCS Sports. The Ice Breaker has become a staple in the grassroots sector and annually draws intense competition from all over the region and state where teams vie for not only bragging rights but revenue sharing opportunities unlike any other event this early in the grassroots season.
Randall Moore
Randall Moore
Randall is a long and wiry wing player that is a respectable 3 point shooter, He also tested the rim early on dunk attempts. Uses his length well defensively to frustrate opposing offensive players. Moore, finished with 7 points helped lead his team to a 54-25 victory on the opening day of the 2024 Ice Breaker.
Camran Bateman
Camran Bateman
Bateman is a tall young post player that consistently challenges shot attempts in the paint. At 6’5 he owned every rebound that came off the rim. A willing screen setter, Bateman, capitalized off rolling hard to the rim and finishing over opposing players. Possessing soft hands and developing footwork he was able to score at will in the paint vs smaller opponents. After dominating the 1st half with 11 points, Bateman finished with 12 points in a blowout win 54-25.
Kaiden White
Kaiden White
Good positional size for a wing player at this point of his young career. Possesses a smooth game with 3 level scoring ability. Typically scoring with finesse he also will mix it up and finish with his left hand as well. What sets Kaiden apart from his peers at this point is his competitive spirit and confidence. Kaiden does not shy away from taking control of the game in clutch moments, and also is able to stay cool under pressure and does not try to force the issue, but rather play within the confines of his game and tempo. Kaiden connected on multiple 3 pointers throughout the weekend and thrived in big play situations.
Kenyon Arnelin
Kenyon Arnelin
The other half of the dynamic twin duo Kenyon is a lefty that relies heavily on his attacking euro step applying pressure all game long on opposing defenders. Already equipped with elite strength and athleticism, Kenyon is a nightmare when in attack mode. He also is capable of knocking down 3 point shots.
Kyrin Arnelin
Kyrin Arnelin
One half of the superstar twin duo. Kyrin, is a righty that is super disruptive on the defensive end which led to numerous fast break points in transition. Far from a ball stopper he continuously looked for open teammates and made laser passes across the floor to teammates for easy buckets. As the weekend progressed he showed the capability of pulling up for mid-range jumpers with ease. Playing with great pace Kyrin picks his spots offensively and asserts himself when needed on the offensive end.
Madden Hill
Madden Hill
rnMadden already is making his case as one of the premiere guards in the entire 2029 class. Hill possesses solid size and streaky athleticism for a lead guard at his age, and can impact the game on both sides of the floor. During one stretch he went on a personal 6-0 run where he forced the opposing point guard into multiple turnovers leading to easy layups on the other end for Hill. Madden is featured on a loaded JL3 team that hosts several other high level players. Look for Hill to continue to make his name and game well known across the country.
