Just four private schools and 64 public schools remain. During the frenetic week of games the following players impressed with their shooting.

Region Tournament Champions [player_tooltip player_id='2362465' first='Jaren' last='Davis'] (Cookeville) and [player_tooltip player_id='1236443' first='Joshua' last='Heard'] (Cookeville) delivered an assortment of sweets to the table...too sweet for Siegel Stars. Heard made two three-pointers within the first two minutes of the game. His team made 14 through three quarters to make it an unusually uncompetitive game. [player_tooltip player_id='2362465' first='Jaren' last='Davis'] made four three-pointers by himself as did Heard. Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1335783' first='Jack' last='Oakley'] dropped four in too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578715' first='Osby' last='Cavin'] (Pope Prep) came off of the bench in the State Tournament Semifinal, dribbled into a three-pointer with his first touches of the basketball. Bottoms. Unfortunately for Pope Prep, Osby's two made three-pointers were the only two deep makes for the team in 22 tries! Their season ended one game earlier than dreamed.

Brady Haun (Alcoa) hit some big shots against Gatlinburg-Pittman. Ultimately, he earned placement on the Region 1-2A All-Tournament Team

Jake Foster (Gordonsville) sizzled in a scrappy Regional Final versus Pickett County Thursday night, smoothly scoring his team's first 13 points on 7 shots.

In the third quarter of the Region 2-2A Championship, [player_tooltip player_id='1273550' first='Shane' last='Cherry'] (Austin-East) pulled up like Damian Lillard, repeatedly launching from the edge of the galaxy with astonishing success. He crossed [player_tooltip player_id='2350882' first='Eli' last='Graf'], stepped back and buried another three-pointer.

But you didn't forget about [player_tooltip player_id='1121414' first='Jahvin' last='Carter'], did you? He hit two three-pointers within a 30 second run to keep Alcoa close. He scored 32 points through three quarters and then made a high-difficulty floater followed by a left-handed and-1 layup on the team's next two possessions.

Younger brother [player_tooltip player_id='2333265' first='Condis' last='Cherry'] made some remarkable and yet unsurprising shots, as well. The young man is as basketball brave as they come.

In the Alcoa win Jahvin surpassed the 3000 career point plateau.
