Dowdell went nuclear during the post season as he was not only impressive but he shot at a high percentage. He plays the right way and even when he is looking to get his shot off he is not really forcing any crazy shots, he waits till he is in good position and is under control. He has become one of the more impressive pick ups for Harvard as the season went on.
It seems like Easton grew a few inches and his game has grown as well. He is a shooter that can get really streaky and that is exactly what we saw from him during the playoffs and it was a sight to see. He was hitting from deep and from all over the gym. He is turning into a deadly shooter and he is back for another year next season.
Smylie is a very underrated player but that is okay, he had a breakout season as not many people knew about him. He is a player that can score at all three-levels but he has some solid positional size off the ball and he is a big time IQ kid. He moves well without the ball and he knows how to put himself in positions to score. His recruiting is starting to take shape and he is going to be a sneaky steal in this class.
Highlights
Jax was able to use a different gear this post season and when he shifts down and then takes off keeping defenders off balance he gets to the rim a lot better. He has a solid wingspan that helps him finish over bigs in the paint and he used that length in the post a few times. Jax continues to rise as one of the top two way players in the state. Big offseason ahead.
Soto was locked in during the playoffs. He shields that ball well when he has it on the bounce and he was able to survey the floor and get teh ball to the players that needed it. He was hitting from deep and he was also making it known that he can be a three-level scorer as well.
Jordan Barnes Jordan Barnes 6’4″ | PG Olympus | 2024 State UT was ridiculous during state and for him to go for 20 assists in a game and without a shot attempt is so wild. He was the QB out there just directing traffic. He was surgical when he was taking shots. Really impressed with that ability to turn things up when he needs to. He has so many gears to his game and that vision is elite as he was able to see plays developing and putting the ball on the money when he needed to.
