With all the action from this exciting sectional week, there were a ton a of great performances from our in-state prospects that really showed the talent they have. For myself, I was able to get out and watch games from Sectionals 8, 9, and 10. Below are my standouts from Sectional Week Part 2. Still one more day of Sectional action!
It is a straight fact, there was not a more dominant player on the floor Friday at Sectional 10 than the 2025 post Dezmon Briscoe Dezmon Briscoe 6’9″ | PF Crispus Attucks | 2025 State #107 Nation IN . He completely had his way against the young frontcourt of Lawrence North and was disrupting shots on the defensive end while crashing the boards extremely well. His footwork and soft touch around the rim was money nearly every time he got the ball in post-up situations. While Attucks may have lost to Lawrence North, Briscoe was easily a standout player. He finished with a team high 19 points.
Lewis was his cool, calm, and collected self in Attucks’ tough loss vs Lawrence North Friday night. When it comes to true lead guards that can be great playmakers, Lewis has always been that for the Tigers and Friday night further proved how good he can be at his role. Thought he made some tough plays around the basket and was very good on the defensive end as well. He was a true ‘quarterback’ of this team all season and was a big part of the success they had this year. He finished last night with 10 pts.
While it may not show up in the stat sheet, I thought the junior guard made a lot of great key plays for Attucks in their tough loss to Lawrence North. He finished with 9 pts and showed some great scoring plays, but I thought it was the hustle and aggressiveness he played with that stood out to me. He was diving on the floor for loose balls and being a tough defender, as well. He made all the important little plays all night long.
Friday night was a game that further proved why Azavier Robinson Azavier Robinson 6’1″ | PG Lawrence North | 2025 State #88 Nation IN is one of the best pure guards in the entire state of Indiana. As Crispus Attucks controlled most of the game, it was always the 2025 guard that kept Lawrence North in striking distance which eventually led the Wildcats to getting the big victory. He finished with 20 points scoring around the basket like he is so good at while also hitting big shots from deep. He has got that type of game where he is almost a silent killer at times. Friday night, he was the guy for LN.
While Robinson gets a lot of the praise that brought Lawrence North to their comeback victory, senior guard Kobi Bowles Kobi Bowles 6’2″ | PG Lawrence North | 2024 State IN is also a player that made extremely good plays down the stretch. Bowles’ explosion through the lane gave Attucks some fits at times and when he was able to split the defense, he was going to score at the rim. I thought defensively he pressured the Attucks guards at times, especially in the big fourth quarter comeback. He finished with 16 points with most of his buckets coming in the big second half comeback. Without Bowles stepping up, LN does not win this game.

Hall brings so much to Fishers team and that was apparent on Tuesday night when I watched the Tigers handle Carmel. He was just a playmaker on the floor and while Fishers is an incredible balanced team, it seems to be Hall that will make the play to bring the energy on the floor. Very quick, very athletic player that is at his best when he attacks the basket and can finish through contact. A big reason why Fishers made it to the Sectional championship on Saturday.
Zachary had a lot of pressure placed on him to be the No. 1 lead guard for this loaded Fishers team this season as a freshman. On Tuesday night when I watched Fishers and Carmel, the freshman lead guard played his role so well and was that ‘quarterback’ that every great team needs to have. He facilitated the ball well, found his teammates for great looks, and was a solid on-ball defender. He is also a player that can score the ball if needed, but his goal is always to make the right play. He is only going to get better and better.

Madden Beriault (Warren Central, 2025, 6’0, G) – In all honesty, I was not all too familiar with Beriault before Friday night’s Sectional 10 game vs Cathedral but came away with him being one of the players I was most impressed with. He finished with 11 points on the night but it was just the shots that he was hitting that stood out. He hit (3) threes on the night and was one for the reasons that Warren Central was giving Cathedral all sorts of trouble. Loved his tough motor as well as his scrappiness he played with. Under-the-radar player to keep tabs on next season.
