Raw talent on display including some standout forwards with amazing size that caught my eye. Keep in mind I did not get to catch everyone so I missed you I’ll be sure to keep a eye out next time.
6’7 Xavier Roberson Xavier Roberson 6’5″ | SF Dynamic Prep | 2026 TX was a man amongst boys at Gaso Next Gen. He spent the season at one of the nations top prep academy’s Dynamic Prep who is full of talent so I didn’t get to see his full impact as a induvial until today. He was debatably the best player in the gym at least the best performer. He super mobile for his size and has a crazy wingspan. He has several guard skills and could be considered a big guard in many situations. He has a nice midrange that he used several times fading away on one foot and was giving KD vibes. His IQ is through the roof as far as spacing and getting himself to open spots on the floor. He threw down several alley oops and transition dunks and just overall put on a show. He will have HUGE impact for Dynamic Prep next year and should be on your radar as one of the most talented 2026’s in the state.
6’7 Freshman Dawson Battie Dawson Battie 6’8″ | SF Dallas St. Marks | 2027 State TX who is widely regarded as the #1 freshman prospect in the state was impressive Sunday. Not only is he fluent moving up and down the court. He can also handle the ball a bit has a HUGE motor like a small guard. His wingspan is serious and he uses it to full ability, taking advantage of matchups around the rim and easily grabbing offensive boards turning them into putbacks. He has nice jumper as well midrange and the 3 ball both with be a strong suit for him by the time he is a upperclassman. He blocked several shots on the defensive end too, played the passing lanes super well and looked to unchallenged at times. Overall very impressive and could be a top pick to have a breakout summer heading into his sophomore campaign.
6’7 2027 Xander Pruzinsky Xander Pruzinsky 6’8″ | C Frisco Memorial | 2027 State TX was a huge stock riser on Sunday. He spent the year at Frisco Memorial with 2 of the top guards in the 2026 class and has obviously picked up some major confidence in the process, At 6’7 Xander has always been a force in the paint but he seems to really be coming into his own as a player and understanding his body and skill set. He finished the day with a 33 point game going head to head against most sites number 1 2027 in Texas Dawson Battie Dawson Battie 6’8″ | SF Dallas St. Marks | 2027 State TX . He was mobile, got end to end quickly slamming everything possible around the rim and blocking in the defensive side. He’s also been in the lab working on his 3 point shot, knocking down a couple every game. He was overall impressive and should be on your list of 2027’s to look at this summer as he just earned himself a sure spot in the rankings.
Highlights
6’5 2027 Brody Knowles Brody Knowles 6’5″ | SF Southlake Carroll | 2027 TX of Southlake Carroll was impressive in the paint area Sunday. In a guard heavy event he wasn’t able to show many parameter skills but he took full advantage of his size and finishing skills around the rim. I watched him grab board after board and put in some tough finishes all day. He’s also a stretch and MOVE down the floor also being one of the top WR prospects in the state that makes a lot of sense. Brody’s ability to finish around the rim is elite and keeps him in any conversation had as far as 2027 forwards. Can’t wait to see what other skills he’ll be able to display this summer and heading into the fall.
Terrell Jackson
Terrell Jackson
6’8 2028 Terrell Jackson has made a strong case for himself to be a top 10 2028 talent in the state over the last year starting with a impressive debut at Pangos camp where he played up against some of the top 2026 talent. Although still a little raw the potential is more then there and when he shows flashes of aggressiveness, he’s a matchup nightmare for just about anyone and I expect to continue as he comes into his own as a player heading into his freshman season. Nice build, wingspan has to be around 7 feet and he can really bounce when in transition finishing with big dunks of 1 foot. He also grabbed 10 plus rebounds in every game played and could be a instant double double type guy as a freshman. Defensively he changes the game adding length and shot blocking but also showed some good discipline not jumping for everything understanding the best way to deal with him may be to get him on the bench due to fouls. Terrel’s growth over the last year is huge and I can’t wait to see him bring his talent’s to UIL. Look for him to be one of the top ranked 2028’s in the state for sure.
