We are talking Fargo Davies basketball in this Season Review article! The Eagles are led by Bart Manson, a legendary coach in ND and one of the best in the region. The Eagles had another memorable and historic season! Davies is without a doubt one of the top basketball programs in North Dakota.   The Eagles won the EDC Regular Season, the East Region Tournament and they finished 3rd at State. Expect Davies to be a top AA team once again in 2024-2025. "We had a great season. This is our 11th consecutive year where we had more than 20 wins. It was our 8th Conference Championship and our 7th Region Championship."   PHD: Do you have any fun memories to share with us?   "There were so many plays throughout the season that were great memories. Everyone who saw time for the Davies Eagles this season had a remarkable game that made an impact on us winning that game. Lots of records that were broken this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1169136' first='Mason' last='Klabo'] broke his own scoring record. Mason also became the All-Time Leading Scorer at Davies High School. [player_tooltip player_id='1480612' first='Jaxon' last='Beiswenger'] broke the Single-Season Steal Record. [player_tooltip player_id='1557677' first='Alpha' last='Camara'] broke Most Blocks in a Game with 8 and Most Rebounds in a game with 20."   PHD: How did your team overcome adversity?   "We had a lot of adversity throughout the season. We had several games when starters were out. During that time, younger players stepped up and contributed to us still being successful. Having good players in the program can help overcome adversity during the year."   PHD: What are a few things your team improved on this season?   "I thought throughout the season we continued to improve on the defense side of the ball. We ended up leading the EDC in a few defensive categories." (Points given up and best FG% defensively).    PHD: Who are some role players that stood out to you?   "[player_tooltip player_id='1867243' first='Nick' last='Hasbargen'], [player_tooltip player_id='1145145' first='Peter' last='Havelka'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1991123' first='Kaleb' last='Skari'] were seniors for us who played a big role in the Davies BB team being successful. [player_tooltip player_id='1525281' first='Holden' last='Witte'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1332141' first='Cameron' last='Miller'] also contributed to the Davies Program being successful this past season."   PHD: Can you talk about your seniors and what will be missed?   "The senior class of [player_tooltip player_id='1161524' first='Daniel' last='Yorke'], [player_tooltip player_id='1557677' first='Alpha' last='Camara'], [player_tooltip player_id='1480612' first='Jaxon' last='Beiswenger'], [player_tooltip player_id='1867243' first='Nick' last='Hasbargen'], [player_tooltip player_id='1991123' first='Kaleb' last='Skari'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1145145' first='Peter' last='Havelka'] were a very talented group and had a big impact on the Davies Basketball Program. These guys were extremely coachable athletes who wanted to get better every day coming to practice. Their toughness and grit is we are going to miss the most by the Davies Coaching staff."   PHD: Who are some up-and-comers to look out for in the future?   "Our JV didn't lose a game in the EDC this past season. The only game this lost was to Alexandria in Minnesota. With [player_tooltip player_id='1169136' first='Mason' last='Klabo'] coming back for his senior year he will play with a different kind of team. The JV kids are big at every position and are extremely talented. PhD: Who was your best defensive player?   "No question - [player_tooltip player_id='1867243' first='Nick' last='Hasbargen']. You could argue that Nick was the best defender in the State of ND. He guarded the best player from each team and made him work for every basket."   PHD: Any last comments/thoughts on the season?   "We will really will miss the senior class of players. They were a great group of guys to come and coach every day!"
