We're in the final stretch of this season. District championships are about to be played. Let's take a look at the state, remaining teams, and key factors.

District 1

Game: Cardinal Ritter vs. Jackson

Prospect to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1427981' first='Clayton' last='Jackson']

Underclassmen to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1850523' first='Oscar' last='Patterson']

X-Factor: [player_tooltip player_id='2120369' first='Kole' last='Deck']

Comments: Cardinal Ritter is a team that has tested themselves vs. some of the best competition around. That was done on purpose in an effort to build toughness for this exact game. They're playing well at the right time. Jackson has a number of perimeter shooters and controlling tempo will be key if they want to come out with a win.

District 2

Game: Eureka vs. Kirkwood

Prospect to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1430528' first='Mason' last='Dunlap']

Underclassmen to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1850534' first='Jaxson' last='Joggerst']

X-Factor: [player_tooltip player_id='1557397' first='Evan' last='Simon']

Comments: Two teams who are familiar with each other. This game has a really exciting PG battle between [player_tooltip player_id='1430528' first='Mason' last='Dunlap'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1557397' first='Evan' last='Simon']. Dunlap is a traditional floor general who makes few mistakes. Simon on the other hand is a polarizing player who can get hot from three. Eureka will have an advantage in terms of size on the inside.

District 3

Game: Chaminade vs. CBC

Prospect to Watch: Jamo White

Underclassmen to Watch: Jahadi White Jr.

X-Factor: [player_tooltip player_id='1422817' first='Terron' last='Garrett']

Comments: Chaminade has already won this matchup multiple times. It's an interesting game because of the history and MCC Friday night feel it'll have in March. This is going to be a tough game for both squads. They know each other very well. Jamo White has been playing like one of the best sophomores in the state recently. He'll be key.

District 4

Game: Francis Howell vs. St. Dominic

Prospect to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1425726' first='Will' last='Paulson']

Underclassmen to Watch: Deanthony McJames

X-Factor: [player_tooltip player_id='1430535' first='Brayden' last='Gardner']

Comments: Francis Howell has been a pleasant surprise this season. They've built a dangerous team that plays well together and has all the pieces positionally. A dark horse team to make a Final Four. St. Dominic is really well coached and can make the three in spurts. This should be an excellent game.

District 5

Game: Springfield Central vs. Kickapoo

Prospect to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1259024' first='Tyrique' last='Brooks']

Underclassmen to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1872262' first='Reese' last='Kimrey']

X-Factor: [player_tooltip player_id='1422818' first='Keion' last='Epps']

Comments: This game has a ton of talent on the floor at once. [player_tooltip player_id='1259024' first='Tyrique' last='Brooks'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1422818' first='Keion' last='Epps'] form one of the best backcourt duos in the state. Epps has been playing as well as some of the best guards in the state as of late. [player_tooltip player_id='1872262' first='Reese' last='Kimrey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1424395' first='Jackson' last='Shorter'] are a two-man game that can cause problems. This might be the game of the week.

District 6

Game: Lee's Summit West vs. Rockhurst

Prospect to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1160824' first='Chaz' last='Watson']

Underclassmen to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='2334869' first='Cameron' last='Barnes']

X-Factor: [player_tooltip player_id='2346142' first='Kevin' last='Sullivan']

Comments: Lee's Summit West has a case for being the most talented team in the state. They have an elite Division 1 guard, [player_tooltip player_id='1160824' first='Chaz' last='Watson'], and a big frontcourt full of bouncy athletes. Rockhurst runs a great offense and will make this game a challenge. They're always an upset contender because of their style of play. This should be an Xs and Os battle

District 7

Game: Rock Bridge vs. Hickman

Prospect to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1419872' first='Brock' last='Camp']

Underclassmen to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='2346151' first='Will' last='Priest']

X-Factor: [player_tooltip player_id='1431929' first='Langston' last='Stroupe']

Comments: These two Columbia teams will travel to Blue Springs and play a game that's a local rivalry. Rock Bridge is red hot and playing amazing basketball late in the season. They looked to have all the answers for Hickman in their first matchup. Hickman has a number of key seniors looking to extend their career. Another classic matchup.

District 8

Game: Oak Park vs. Staley

Prospect to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1419869' first='Corbin' last='Allen']

Underclassmen to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1850444' first='Josh' last='Kori']

X-Factor: [player_tooltip player_id='1419871' first='Xavier' last='Wilson']

Comments: Another amazing matchup. At one point in time Oak Park was the consensus favorite in Class 6. Since, Staley has found their groove and play very well as a team. This game has star power at every position on the floor. The winner of this game could potentially win state. It's a battle of heavyweights.

We're in the final stretch of this season. District championships are about to be played. Let's take a look at the state, remaining teams, and key factors.
