The 2nd game of the night was one of the craziest games I’ve seen. Central started the game up 22-0, but Springdale never gave up clawing their way back to force OT. Be ready for Day 4 tomorrow as we close out the quarter finals tonight.
Smith is a quick athletic guard who does a lot offensively and defensively. The 6’2 guard was hitting much needed shot after shot for a Jonesboro team that was struggling to score at times. Attacking the rim Smith uses his body really well to keep the defender from blocking his shot. Smith also has a really good pull up game and is comfortable knocking them down. He had a team high 20 points for Jonesboro vs Har-Ber.
Muldrew might be the best scorer in Arkansas. The 6’1 guard has NBA 3pt range and confidence. Even with his incredible shooting his best skill is driving to the basket. He loves to play through contact and often is the one initiating it. On a hard drive to the basket he can also stop on a dime and elevate for a pull up. His mindset that no one can stop him and confidence was well on display vs Jonesboro. He had a huge 39 points against a tough Jonesboro defense. Muldrew is real deal.
It is hard to not be overshadowed by a near 40 point performance, but Wood’s 20 points and strong play was for sure noticeable. Wood does all the little things needed to win games. He is not only Har-Ber’s green light 3pt shooter but also the 2nd option to run the offense. Wood just has a nose for the ball, constantly getting loose balls and rebounds. His strong defensive play and ability to block shots as an undersized guard was fun to watch. He even had the biggest block of the night meeting someone at the rim, a block that made the whole crowd erupt with cheers. Muldrew might have been scorer of the night but my overall player of the game would go to Hayden Wood Hayden Wood 6’4″ | SG Springdale Har-Ber | 2025 State AR .
If you do not know the name Isaiah Sealy Isaiah Sealy 6’7″ | PG Springdale | 2025 State #34 Nation AR you will soon. Sealy is a long point guard that brings a unique style to the game. Most taller point guards are pass first, and normally not confident dribbling. Sealy is the opposite of this. He is looking to score first while using his length and dribbling as an advantage to create mismatches. Can and will take any shot the defense gives him, even if it is a running 35 foot 3 to tie the game. With this shot Sealy secured the craziest shot so far in the years state tournament. Leading his team back from being down 22-0 Sealy forced OT, but might have just used too much energy to come back as they fall to a really good Central team. Sealy finished the game with a full stat line of 33 points 7 rebounds, and 5 assist.
Luke Moore Luke Moore 6’0″ | CG Little Rock Central | 2025 State AR is another player highly ranked in the state. His late game performance was impressive to watch. He hit a clutch 3 with 3 seconds left in the 4th, that would have ended the game if it was for Sealy’s incredible shot. Moore helped in overtime by controlling the momentum and getting it back on Centrals side. Late in OT he hit a huge 3 that with 30 seconds left to make it a two score game. His jumpshot is his strong suit, but the little things he does is what make him a leader. Moore protects the ball, sets screens, and controls the offense making him a true winning player.
