From that collection of stars, we can create a pretty phenomenal All-Tournament team. We fudged a little on positions to get the best players on the team.
Here is the 2024 6A All-Tournament Team:
PG – TJ Williams TJ Williams 6'5" | SG Wichita Heights | 2024 State #176 Nation KS , 6-foot-5 guard, 2024, Wichita Heights:
This will be the most controversial pick, because we’re putting Williams ahead of more traditional point guards like Jakhai Carter Jakhai Carter 6'2" | CG Mill Valley | 2026 State KS and Tasean Williams Tasean Williams 5'7" | PG Wichita Northwest | 2024 State KS . But Williams does so many things and he was so efficient in the first two rounds he needs to be on the team. He struggled in the championship game, but still he’s just too good to leave off. But someone else has a lock on the small forward spot, so we’ll put Williams here.
SG – Aven Mboule Aven Mboule 6'0" | PG Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS , 6-foot guard, 2025, Wichita Heights:
There were a lot of ways to try to get the best players on the team, but in the end the best true “shooting” guard was Mboule. He hit shots and scored in double figures throughout the tournament. He hit 4-6 from deep when his team desperately needed points in the championship. He scored 12 points twice and 13 once, one of the few players to get at least 12 points in each game.
SF – Keaton Wagler Keaton Wagler 6'5" | CG Shawnee Mission Northwest | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-5 guard, 2025, Shawnee Mission Northwest (pictured):
It seems pretty clear that Wagler was the Player of the Tournament. He hit for 19 points in the win over Mill Valley, a game involving a bunch of great forwards. He only missed one shot in the championship game. He hit 6-12 from deep over the three games. He rebounded and distributed and had to expend a lot of energy on the defensive end. He made an argument for being the best player in the state by leading his team to the title. It was really hard to leave Chase Robinson Chase Robinson 6'4" | PF Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS off the team, but he came up a little short at the forward spots.
PF – Carter Kaifes Carter Kaifes 6'6" | PF Mill Valley | 2025 State #317 Nation KS , 6-foot-6 forward, 2025, Mill Valley:
It would have been great to reward Mason Kemp Mason Kemp 6'7" | C Mill Valley | 2024 State KS with this position. But Kaifes is just too good to leave off. In Mill Valley’s two wins, Kaifes shot it great, getting off his jumpers in the midrange, scoring above the rim and occasionally hitting from deep. He didn’t shoot it great in the semifinal loss to Shawnee Mission Northwest, but he battled and finished with 12 points and 6 boards in that one.
C – Ethan Taylor Ethan Taylor 7'0" | C Shawnee Mission Northwest | 2026 State KS , 7-foot center, 2026, Shawnee Mission Northwest:
Amalachi Wilkins Amalachi Wilkins 6'8" | C Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS is a lot of fun to watch, but we have to give this honor to Taylor. His team won the title, and he was a big part of it. He showed his skill development by scoring efficiently. He hit 12 of 18 field goal attempts and 11-17 foul shots in the tournament. He utterly dominated Wichita East, drawing a ridiculous 12 fouls. He finished the tournament with 35 points, 22 rebounds and 13 blocks.
Second Team:
PG – Jakhai Carter Jakhai Carter 6'2" | CG Mill Valley | 2026 State KS , 6-foot-2 guard, 2026, Mill Valley
SG – (tie) Tasean Williams Tasean Williams 5'7" | PG Wichita Northwest | 2024 State KS , 5-foot-7 guard, 2024 Wichita Northwest and Van Collins Van Collins 6'4" | SG Shawnee Mission Northwest | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-3 guard, 2025, Shawnee Mission Northwest
SF – Chase Robinson Chase Robinson 6'4" | PF Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-4 forward, 2025, Wichita Heights
PF – Mason Kemp Mason Kemp 6'7" | C Mill Valley | 2024 State KS , 6-foot-8 forward, 2024, Mill Valley
C – Amalachi Wilkins Amalachi Wilkins 6'8" | C Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-7 center, 2025, Wichita Heights
