We're coming down the stretch folks! This season is starting to wind down so very quickly and WV players are putting on their best performances. Week nine had maybe the most big performances of any week yet. Tough to have to sift through the film, highlights and stats to just pick enough for one article.

[player_tooltip player_id='2208853' first='Matt' last='Hatfield'] clocks in for week nine with a 16 Pts 6 Ast 3 Reb 2 Stls performance in a win vs Grafton. Tough competition vs Grafton's scrappy guards. Hatfield is a solid guard who does shoot it above average and is a high academic achiever who will find some private D3's knocking on the door soon to employ his services on the floor and welcome him to the classroom.

[player_tooltip player_id='2208851' first='Ethan' last='Blackburn'] has been a regular and has been steady all season leading the young Knights squad. Blackburn posted 17 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks vs a tough Belfry Ky. team. Ethan has great athleticism and length that will translate well to the next level. Looking for a big offseason as well during AAU months.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578756' first='Max' last='Moore'] makes a roaring return to the report! Max poured in a whopping 33 points and 6 assists vs Ripley in a big I-77 rivalry clash. Max is a highly skilled guard and shoots it at a high rate. Look for him to get on several radars during the upcoming AAU season if he's shooting it at a high percentage.

[player_tooltip player_id='2208848' first='Clay' last='Robertson'] rarely misses a report and this week is not exception. He's absolutely one of the state's best players aside form position and class. His stat lines continually tickle the triple-double threshold and in week 9 it hit. Dropping 15 points but adding 10 rebounds and 10 assists Robertson led his team over a well-earned victory over Teays Valley. Look for Robertson pick up some summer time offers now that he's on the radar of just about everyone in the region.

[player_tooltip player_id='2208825' first='Zane' last='Saunders'] breaks through once again with a huge game to jump onto the week 9 report. Saunders put down 17 points 8 rebounds and 3 blocks vs Pike Central Ky.. Saunders is a long athletic forward type player. With his size he's playing alot center but should rate out and project as a stretch four if his shooting is sharp enough for recruiters to feel comfortable. We'll continue to track his development into AAU season as it will be a meaningful one.
