Brighton hosted Alta last night and with a sick Jaxon Johnson Jaxon Johnson 6'8" | SF Alta | 2024 State #106 Nation UT and a very limited Ace Reiser Ace Reiser 6'0" | PG Alta | 2024 State UT the storm was just right for Brighton a really good and well coached team to pounce on the Hawks. Brighton used a balance scoring attack and they got some excellent play from so many.
Soto had himself a game that not only he needed last night but his team needed as well. This win where he lead the team in scoring will help their RPI a lot. Jaxon gives Brighton a 4th scorer which is something that they really need and this could be the game that has not only elevated Brighton’s play but Jaxon’s as well.
Timpview and Orem went back and forth but one player out of almost everyone on the floor that stood out and was very poised was Mason Ford Mason Ford 6'1" | PG Timpview | 2026 State UT in the win.
Ford hit two big time shots at the end of the game. a midrange runner off the glass and on a scramble he found a pocket open beyond the arc and he lined a three-pointer up and he caught it and hit it in stride. He was huge in the game where he had to handle and keep everyone in line. He was able to work the clock and run the offense. I really like what I am seeing from him and this Timpview team that is starting to reach a higher level of play.

Farmington has had a lot of ups and downs but when Paul Beattie Paul Beattie 6'9" | PF Farmington | 2024 State UT is on his game this team can get so many more things going. Davis has been playing well but what we saw from Farmington really makes them a team to fear.
Paul is a hybrid big that at times he can play inside and he is solid down on the blocks but he also moves well and can really get things going with cuts and attacks to the rim. Beattie on the move is tough to stop and Davis was having a hard time with his size. Beattie is a solid next level player that could easily walk on to a D1 or be a full scholarship kid at the right school.
Everyone knew that Copper Hills was going to have a tough year as they lost a lot of talented players and only winning 7 games this year they got a big spark from their young PG to get a gritty win against Riverton.
Reiser went crazy and put up a 34 piece last night as he was phenomenal. The young PG continues to elevate his game and stock with games like this. Regardless of where they finish the season he is a player that is talented enough to play somewhere at the next level.
Lone Peak has had an up and down season and they have also dealt with injuries but this win against a surging Lehi squad could be the win that gets them trending in the right direction.
Taylor came through clutch in a big game and he helped with some big time shooting. He was able to use that shooting that he is known for. If they can get everyone clicking including Jackson on this team Lone Peak will not be an easy out.

New Names
We are starting to get a better understanding of Hall’s game after 10 games played at the Varsity level he has been doing some good things but in his last two games he has given everyone signs that he is ready for the stage. Hall might be a sleeper kid right now but his ranking will likely change if he keeps doing this in the playoffs and in the Spring and Summer.
Skyridge has found a high motor bigger guard that can come in and play with speed and strength. Gentry cleans things up on broken plays and his movement really gets him open or puts him in a position to really score the ball. He is just starting to get meaningful minutes and he is taking advantage.
Jordan is starting ot get things rolling with his consistent play. He is a play maker and he just needs to cook out there. He has a great little step back that he uses to get separation and it very effective, especially with a quick trigger. If he can continue to be the 3rd in the trio they have at Weber this team is dangerous in the playoffs.
Highlights
Bayles is starting ot take the next step in his development and if he continues to hunt for shots he is going to continue that rise. He had a great game in a loss but he was shooting well from deep and he is a shot or two away from stealing that game. He is a player to really watch.
Highlights
In the last 4 games Bessinger has really shown signs of elite play. Davis as had to use that scoring to keep them in close games and also help win those games as well. He is a player that will be a riser, especially at the club level where he could really turn things up.
Playoffs
5A has just gotten better over the past few weeks as teams are starting to peak at ther ight time. You have teams like Timpvoew, Orem, Spingville, Olympus and Highland all making a push
6A with a lot of parity across teh state the team that has found some consistency will have a lower seed and that means trouble for whoever is on tehir side of the bracket and that is Corner Canyon.
4A seems to be a tough road to dethrone Dixie but Cottonwood has a shot as do a few other teams.
