Here’s a look at part two of the top wings in the class, ranking some of the shooting guards and small forwards in the junior class.
15) Aiden Caulker Aiden Caulker 6'4" | SG Bishop O'Connell | 2025 State VA | 6’4” SG | Bishop O’Connell (#36 Overall)
Caulker continues to climb the rankings board after a great junior season and will head into this summer with quite a few college coaches heavily interested in him. The 6’4” two guard can impact the same on both ends of the floor, he can score it on and off the basketball and he’s a high IQ playmaker across the board.
14) Danzelle Coles Danzelle Coles 6'5" | SG St Anne Belefield | 2025 State VA | 6’3” SG | STAB (#33 Overall)
Coles transferred to STAB where he reclassified after being an All State player at Highland Springs the last couple of years, and he’ll have a chance to blow up this summer on the recruitment trail. He’s a player who just has a knack for scoring the ball as he makes tough shots from multiple levels, he can put it on the deck and create in isolation and he makes it all look easy while he does it.
13) Colby White Colby White 6'5" | SF Blue Ridge | 2025 State VA | 6’4” SG | Blue Ridge (#31 Overall)
White is probably too low on this list, as he’s had a huge junior season helping Blue Ridge to a #4 seed in the VISAA D1 Tournament and will be highly sought after this summer. The 6’4” wing looks the part with long arms and strong frame, he’s a smooth athlete who can get wherever he wants on the floor, he can put it on the deck and get downhill and he’s a good and versatile defender too.
12) Shane Crissman Shane Crissman 6'6" | SG Miller School | 2025 State VA | 6’6” SG | Riverside (#29 Overall)
Crissmna is one of a number of talented breakout wings in the NOVA area this year, and it isn’t hard to see why he’s an intriguing prospect moving forward. At 6’6” he has fantastic positional size and is a knock down shooter who doesn’t need much space to get his shot off, he is a good rebounder who can attack the offensive glass and he has great feel for the game on both ends.
11) Desmond Rose Desmond Rose 6'6" | SF John Marshall | 2025 State VA | 6’7” SF | John Marshall (#28 Overall)
Rose sometimes gets overlooked on this JM team that is chock full of high level talent and division one recruits, but this summer he should turn heads and make a name for himself as one moving forward. At 6’7” he’s a versatile player who can play on the perimeter or in the paint, he plays above the rim when he gets downhill, he makes shots when set from deep and he can guard almost every position on the floor.
10) Justin Burrough Justin Burrough 6'6" | SF Norfolk Collegiate | 2025 State VA | 6’6” SF | Norfolk Collegiate (#24 Overall)
Burrough has grown with this NoCo squad over the last few years and has been a big reason they have a top 3 seed in the VISAA D2 tournament, and he’s one of the most well rounded and productive wings you’ll come across. He plays all over the floor and guards multiple positions, he rebounds well on both ends, he scores it well from all three levels and he makes plays for his team on both ends.
9) Tim Walker Tim Walker 6'3" | SG Bishop O'Connell | 2025 State VA | 6’3” SG | Bishop O’Connell (#22 Overall)
Walker is another player that sometimes gets overshadowed on an O’Connell team that has been nationally ranked at times this year, but his addition has brought them a new look they didn’t have before. He’s a big and athletic guard who can play on or off the ball, he is a very good defender with quick hands and good anticipation, he can do the dirty work but he also can score it in different ways too.
8) Sebastian Whitfield Sebastian Whitfield 6'5" | SF Cape Henry | 2025 State VA | 6’5” SF | Cape Henry (#19 Overall)
Whitfield has all the tools to play at the highest level as he continues to develop and polish his game, and he’s shown flashes with some very impressive games so far this season. The 6’6” wing has the size and frame that translates to the next level, he plays with a good motor and his athleticism allows him to make plays in the paint, he can drive in straight lines and he can get hot and knock down shots from deep.
7) Sincere Jones Sincere Jones 6'7" | SF Churchland | 2025 State VA | 6’7” SF | Churchland (#17 Overall)
Jones is likely a little too low on this list after his huge junior season leading Churchland to a state tournament appearance, and this summer I expect him to become one of the most high touted wings in the state. At 6’7” he checks all the boxes physically and athletically as he gets out into transition and plays above the rim with authority, he has a good motor and can control the glass on both ends, he’s a versatile defender and he has a lot of raw talent offensively that will only get better with time.
6) Ryan Crotty Ryan Crotty 6'6" | SG Miller School | 2025 State VA | 6’5” SG | Miller School (#15 Overall)
Crotty has perhaps been the breakout player in this class this year, not that he wasn’t already talented but he moved to VA from NC and he is perhaps the best shooter in the state this year. He helped lead Miller to a 1 seed in the VISAA D2 tournament, and came very close to breaking the record for most three’s in a season in the VISAA while shooting over 40% from deep. He works well off the ball and sets his feet quickly, he has deadly range from deep, he can create his own shot off the bounce and he plays with a chip on his shoulder as well.
