Through his high volume scoring and deep range from three, the guard can pull-up from anywhere with the constant threat of heating up. There are few guards in the state with his volume scoring off the dribble. The guard sits in a small group of only two players with 200+ three pointers attempted this season, landing only with Fort Lewis guard Noah Hellem Noah Hellem 5’10” | SG Air Academy | 2024 State CO , by the way Kennison is contributing 39% of those attempts.
An effective two-way guard, Riehl continues to bring value through his quick shot making and assertiveness driving into the paint. They compete on every possession, scrambling for loose balls and flying all over the place on help side defense. He is one of those guards that gives 100% every possession, in no small part has Mesa Ridge dominated in the last two seasons thanks to his Tevin Riehl Tevin Riehl 6’0″ | CG Mesa Ridge | 2024 State CO ‘s impact. Alongside his scoring punch, the guard has proven himself as a smart passer, not afraid to send skip passes to corner shooters.
Highlights
Another guard on a top program in the state, Terry has brought consistent value setting up the offense, finding shotmakers in their spots. At roughly 6’4, the guard has a clear size advantage against a wide variety of backcourt opponents at this stage in his career. Excellent at reading the floor to pick his spots, Terry has shown plenty of value attacking the rim or getting to a mid-range pull-up at very high efficiency.
Highlights
Hansen has been a high impact player for quite a few seasons now, bringing a gritty style of play, willing to stay physical with opponents. Active taking charges or maintaining his position after an opponent bump, the guard is beneficial within the areas that don’t show up on the stat sheet. His tight handle allows the guard to attack the lane, getting into position for passing lanes on plenty of occasions.
Whitehead has changed his playstyle to benefit this Legend group’s shot selection, currently at a career high in assists per game, currently 4th among all athletes in the 6A/5A Continental League. His positional size allows to see above the defense and slow down the pace when necessary.
Another lights out shooter, Jacob is the perfect balance to Lutheran’s formidable frontcourt. Among the leading three point shooters in the state, the guard currently sits at 9th overall with the highest percentage in the top-10, at 45% from beyond.
Highlights
Foster is another capable shotmaker and facilitator, up among the more consistent all-around playmakers in 6A. His playmaking abilities have set up Fairview for a competitive season, drawing in the defense before kicking it out for shotmakers.
Johnson deserves looks purely from his supreme efficiency, currently at an absurd 58% from three this season. Lewis-Palmer has remained one of the better programs in Colorado Springs and frankly the state, in large part due to the supreme shotmaking ability from their backcourt. Alongside his scoring abilities, Johnson can attack off the dribble, recognizing openings in the paint.
