There have been a lot of high flyers in the postseason.
Here are the top performers from this past week’s postseason action:
Damion Cox Jr., Memphis Central: Cox had 18 points in a 4A District 16 Tournament semifinals win over Memphis East. Cameron Hudson finished with 17. Dedrick Miles provided 13.
R’Chaun King, Bartlett: King had 23 points to help the Panthers win the 4A District 15 Tournament Championship over Cordova. DJ McIntyre finished with 18. Christian Alston added 12.
Julius Thedford, Cordova: Thedford had 33 against Bartlett. Emerson Tenner added 17.
Kody Hickerson, Whitehaven: Hickerson led the Tigers with 25 in their 72-62 win over Memphis Central to win the 4A District 16 Tournament title. Bob Dickson added 17.
Cello Jackson, FACS: Jackson had 23 points and 11 assists in a win over Columbia Academy in the quarterfinals round of the DII-A Boys’ State Tournament. Jacob Walker finished with 19.
Jahvin Carter, Alcoa: Carter had 32 points in a win over Austin-East to capture this season’s 2A District 2 Tournament title. Brady Haun had 16. Jamir Dean added 14.
Gil Jones, Franklin: Jones had 21 points in a win over Ravenwood in the consolation game of the 4A District 10 Tournament. Sam Mewborn finished with 18 points. Davis Long added 14 points, 9 assists, and 3 rebounds. Christian Brown provided 11 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks and went over 1,000 points.
Mason Brown, Central Magnet: Brown had 21 points in a loss to Lawrence County in the 3A District 8 Tournament Championship game. Will Becker added 13.
Ty Cobb, Upperman: Cobb had 28 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals in the team’s win over Livingston Academy in the 3A District 7 Tournament Championship game. Bronzden Chaffin added 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists. Jack Torrence provided 10 points.
Cooper Abner, Westmoreland: Abner had 18 points and 8 rebounds in a loss to White House Heritage in the 2A District 6 Tournament Championship game.
Myles Gill, MUS: Gill had 17 points and 2 rebounds in a win over Ensworth in the first round of the DII-AA Boys’ State Tournament. Brandon Nicholson added 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Kaleb Walker, Powell: Walker averaged 17 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals in the 4A District 3 Tournament.
Xavier Herron, Hillcrest: Herron had 20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists in a win over Manassas in the quarterfinals round of 1A Region 8 Tournament. Jordan Allen added 18 points, 9 assists, and 5 steals. Mario Morgan pitched in 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 steals. Rodney Mitchell provided 13 points and 9 rebounds.
Jaylon Hopson, MBA: Hopson had 19 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Freedom Prep in the quarterfinals round of the 2A Region 8 Tournament. Larry Benson added 16 points and 12 assists. Caleb Carpenter provided 15 points. Teryck White pitched in 10 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds.
Tyler Tanner, Brentwood Academy: Tanner had 23 points in a win over Christian Brothers in the quarterfinals round of the DII-AA Boys’ State Tournament. George MacIntyre added 16.
Jeremiah Hayes, Fayette Ware: Hayes had 22 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a block in a win over Dyer County in the first round of the 3A Region 7 Tournament. Quay Hampton added 15 points, 4 steals, 2 assists and a rebound. Eric Jones provided 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
Marquis Tunstall, Power Center Academy: Tunstall had 16 points and 4 assists in a loss to Raleigh-Egypt in the quarterfinals round of the 3A Region 8 Tournament. Nazir Allen added 11 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 blocks. AJ Polk provided 16 points and 3 steals.
Daniel Cochran, Brentwood: Cochran had 32 points in a win over Warren County to advance to the semifinals round of the 4A Region 5 Tournament.
Cade Capps, Stone Memorial: Capps had 26 points in a win over Central Magnet in the quarterfinals round of the 3A Region 4 Tournament. Brady Lane added 13.
Trey Pearson, Pope Prep: Pearson had 21 points in a win over Baylor in the quarterfinals round of the DII-AA Boys’ State Tournament. Osby Cavin added 15.
Jackson Nichols, Eagleville: Nichols had 17 points in a win over Culleoka in the first round of the 1A Region 5 Tournament. Grey Barker, CJ Goers, and Owen McClaran each had 12. Camden Cole added 11.
