Cathedral Blows by Beaufort Academy:
The Generals had little problems getting by the Eagles today 77-45 to advance to the semifinals. Bryce Ward Bryce Ward 5'9" | PG Cathedral Academy | 2027 State SC and AJ Gresham AJ Gresham 6'0" | CG Cathedral Academy | 2025 State SC both finished with 22 points apiece in the lopsided win. Ward a shifty guard really looks to excel in the transition game. He plays the game with a great deal of confidence while on the floor. Gresham was able to score the ball from all 3 levels here today with his play. AJ settled in with good selection and really played within his game.
Andrew Jackson Academy Dominates 2nd Half:
The Warriors went to work in the 2nd half and dominated the Patriots. The Patriots took a 16-6 lead and looked like they were going to improve to (3-0) on the season vs the Warriors. Andrew Jackson Academy made a three-pointer at the buzzer to trail 41-32 at the halftime break. The Warriors outscored Patrick Henry Academy 43-19 in the second half to win 75-60. The Warriors will now advance to the semifinals of SCISA Class 2A to play Cathedral Academy.
Junior guard Gage Dicks Gage Dicks 6'1" | SG Andrew Jackson Academy | 2025 State SC came to life in the 4th quarter by scoring 14 points and finishing with 29 points in the game. Dicks is very athletic guard who excels in the open court game and getting the ball to the cup. Gage was able to race by defenders with his ability to score the ball in transition. Hayden McClung Hayden McClung 5'10" | PG Andrew Jackson academy | 2025 SC finished with 21 points while coming up with some timely buckets here today. Hall Sease knocked down 4 three-pointers to score 12 points while Carter Brown Carter Brown 6'1" | SF Andrew Jackson Academy | 2025 State SC finished with 11 points inside the paint area. Brown brings a ton of intensity to the floor with his ability to rundown rebounds and mix it up at times with his energy.
The Patriots finish the season at (17-6) with the loss today. Senior twin brothers Hugh Fairey and Forrest Fairey finished with 24 points and 14 points respectively. Junior point guard Rowen Croft Rowen Croft 5'10" | PG Patrick Henry Academy | 2025 State SC finished with 8 points.
Dolphins Come Out on Fire:
Hilton Head Prep came out on fire in the SCISA Class 3A Quarterfinals against Spartanburg Day. The Dolphins jumped out to a 13-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Griffins finally scored its first bucket with 4:17 left in the 2nd quarter to make it 19-2. The Dolphins open it up and won 51-21 to advance to the semifinals.
Senior left-handed guard Ben Frey Ben Frey 6'2" | PG Hilton Head Prep | 2024 State SC led the way with 13 points. Frey did a nice job of getting to his spots at times today. Junior shooting guard Billy Barron added 9 points in the win all from behind the arc. Jason Britschge Jason Britschge 6'6" | PF Hilton Head Prep | 2024 State SC patrolled the middle for the Dolphins. Britschge finished with 8 points while showcasing to be a deceptive athlete who can score the ball through contact. Jason has very good footwork to move around the floor very well.
Junior left-handed guard Payne Wood Payne Wood 6'1" | SG Spartanburg Day | 2025 State SC was able to manage 11 points today for the Griffins in defeat.
Knights Prevail Over Northside Christian:
The Knights (21-8) move on with a 61-53 victory over the Crusaders. The Knights really like on a senior trio of Chris Wilkins Chris Wilkins 6'3" | SF Oakbrook Prep | 2024 State SC , Brad Caldwell Brad Caldwell 6'2" | SF Oakbrook Prep | 2024 State SC and Zenai Davis Zenai Davis 6'5" | SF Oakbrook Prep | 2024 State SC . Small Forward Nzuhri Biggar Nzuhri Biggar 6'6" | SF Oakbrook Prep | 2025 SC is a nice sized wing who moves really well around the floor. Davis a small forward or a bit of a tweener on the hardwood brings plenty of activity along the baseline. Wilkins brings a “JYD” mentality to the floor at times and toughness around the cup. Caldwell makes himself available in any situation with his constant awareness and nose for the ball.
Can the Knights win a SCISA Class 3A Championship this season?
Hawks Defeat Eagles:
The Greenwood Christian Hawks came away with a big win over Hilton Head Christian to advance to the semifinals. The Hawks have a very guard-oriented roster won 72-66 today. Senior Lee Dahlberg led the way with 23 points while also scoring his 1,000-career point in return. Ty Kennedy Ty Kennedy 5'10" | CG Greenwood Christian | 2026 State SC added 21 points while freshman guard Isaiah Scott-Palacios Isaiah Scott-Palacios 6'0" | SG Greenwood Christian | 2027 State SC -Palacios chipped in with 14 points. The Hawks made 21-24 free throws today to secure the win.
Sophomore Harrison Skinner Harrison Skinner 5'10" | CG Hilton Head Christian | 2026 State SC did what could do to keep his team in the game. Skinner a crafty point guard finished with 29 points for the Eagles. Harrison scored 27 points in the second half with most of them coming at the cup. Senior guard Elijah White Elijah White 6'4" | CG Hilton Head Christian Academy | 2024 State SC finished his career with 15 points in loss. Freshman Ethan Foster Ethan Foster 6'3" | SF Hilton Head Christian Academy | 2027 State SC added 7 points and Dylan Sampson Dylan Sampson 6'2" | SG Hilton Head Christian Academy | 2024 State SC also added 7 points in the defeat. The Eagles finish the season at (11-15).
Saints Rip Indians:
In the nightcap tonight from the Sumter County Civic Center the Saints came marching into a victory. Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach cruised by Orangeburg Prep 67-42 to make it to the semifinals on Thursday. Junior guard Brayden Hendrix Brayden Hendrix 6'0" | CG Christian Academy Of Myrtle Beach | 2025 State SC finished with 32 points tonight. Hendrix plays the game with plenty of swagger and confidence and tonight it showed just that. Brayden was dialed in from downtown when he wasn’t attacking the gaps and finishing at the rim.
8th grader Ayden Leith Ayden Leith 6'0" | CG Christian Academy Of Myrtle Beach | 2028 SC jumped into the fun with 15 points tonight. Leith plays so mature for his young age out top. Ayden was attacking the basket and finishing with both hands this evening.
Center Sabion Sessions Sabion Sessions 6'8" | C Christian Academy Of Myrtle Beach | 2025 SC gives the Saints a true post presence down low. Sessions shows to have a soft touch and soft hands to go with his thick frame. Sessions finished with 9 points. Senior left-handed guard Jack Green Jack Green 6'3" | SG Christian Academy Of Myrtle Beach | 2025 State SC added 8 points in the win.
Austin Hall led the way for the Indians (18-8) tonight with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Sophomore forward T Riley T Riley 6'5" | SF Orangeburg Prep | 2026 State SC added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
