It was also an opportunity for PH NorCal to travel to Modesto Christian for this Sac-Joaquin Section Semi-Final Showdown between #4 seed Inderkum 23-7 and #1 Seed Modesto Christian. Modesto led from start to finish shutting down several pushes Inderkum threats to take the lead. Final Score 64-56. Modesto Christian moves on to the Sac-Joaquin Title game. Here’s the standouts for this game.
He’s no stranger to big game competition. The rising junior guard led his team in scoring with 19pts, scoring early and often in a variety ways. He gets out well attacking the rim in transition finishing with dunks. He dropped timely 3’s along the perimeter, and used his solid body to withstand blows finishing off drives into the paint. He might be underrated as a facilitator, with good handles, passing and decision making up top.
Hudson will be NorCal’s top ranked 2027 Prospect when the rankings drop. The solid body Freshman playmaker played well in the big game not fazed by the moment. He led his team in scoring 18pts, after mostly showing us he could run the point throughout the game. Later he looked to be more aggressive, with strong takes and finishes on the drive, he hit a couple of big 3’s, and dropped the mid-range jumper. He defends well.

The Transfer from Valley Christian (San Jose) played an exceptional floor game. Listed at 6’4 with lengthy arms he won the battle in the paint. He was effective working in the post area going up against Inderkum’s long front line of defenders. He battled for rebounds, blocked a few shots, his 10pts, 9 rebounds just missed a double, double.
Inderkum’s long wing versatile prospect showed his value in different areas. He’s part of that long front line. He’s active in the post area working for rebounds, and keeping the ball live, he got multiple rebounds for put back points. He’s a good defender on the perimeter staying close and making you work for points. He has good timing to block a jump shot. He’ll get transition buckets, and hit the short jumper. He can handle a bit.
He hasn’t gotten the credit he deserves. He played a key role in helping lead this team to victory. He did an exceptional job of controlling pace and running point late. He repeatedly went by defenders, using his body and dribble to get into the paint causing the bigs to react, then dumping it off for his bigs to convert buckets inside. He had a couple of paint jumpers. He put up a good line of defense.

This is our second time seeing Johnson, he’s considered new to us in NorCal. He’s a long wiry prospect who needs to get stronger. He does a good job of running up and down the court. He can hit the corner jump shot, and work in the post at times. With his size he can effect shots in the paint help with rebounding, and disturb 3 point shooters in the corner and along the perimeter. He has a good upside. We’ll see more.
