The top 6th-8th graders put on a show in Isle, IL. There were some familiar faces but also some new names that NEED to be on the radar as they continue to develop into promising athletes.
Below are some of the athletes that stood out throughout the camp.
Cody Rader #37
Rader had the ball on a string all camp and stood out as one of the most poised guards in his age group. He has a great feel for the game and made impactful plays for his team on both ends. He has a very fluid offensive game ranging from inside the paint and extending to the three pointer. Rader was a very reliable source of playmaking for his team.
Jayce Lopez #54
Lopez’s playmaking ability stood out to me more than anything. He made quick and certain decisions with the ball. He recognized when to switch gears which made him very elusive for opponents when trying to stay in front of him. Lopez was one of the top guards at camp in his age group.
Ervin Cuff #31
Cuff was showing off his foot speed all camp long. On the defensive end he was able to speed up his opponent and create mistakes very well. He was very effective at filling the lanes in transition as well as finding teammates on the break. His ability to make plays on both ends allowed his team to play fast paced basketball all afternoon.
Danilo Vazic #170
Vazic was one of the tallest prospects in his age group and covered ground in a major way. He proved to be crafty with the ball and put pressure on the rim when the opportunity arises. He showed high level athleticism by grabbing boards and taking it coast to coast and finishing through contact.
Jayden Jackson #57
Used his size advantage over smaller guards to see over the top of active hands. He showed he was able to be aggressive attacking with either hand. One of the most athletic in his age group, he showed the ability to finish some tough layups around the rim and forced his opponent to adjust to his athleticism on the defensive side of the floor.
Will McCormick Will McCormick 5'6" | SG New Berlin Eisenhower | 2029 WI #36
Is a well balanced guard who proved he could catch fire as a shooter. He was able to knock down shots off the catch and even under pressure of a contest. He pushed the break and showed good decision making in transition. His ball control and change of direction was also very impressive.
