Jared Jackson Jared Jackson 6'3" | SG Peoria Richwoods | 2024 State IL (Peoria Richwoods – 2024)
Jackson is a rangy combo guard that was a spark for Richwoods early on. He shot it well from three hitting two of them early. Smooth ball handler with burst and plays above the rim throwing down a thunderous alley-oop. High level defender as well blocking several jump shots and getting steals. He had 10 points.
Jaeden Rush Jaeden Rush 6'0" | PG O'Fallon | 2024 State IL (O’Fallon – 2024)
Rush was the standout on Friday night for O’Fallon against Richwoods. The smooth ball handler is so slippery through traffic as he always slices through the defense like a punt returner getting to the cup for an array of soft touch finishes. Loves the sweeping floater. Several times just blew right past his defender for buckets. Good handles and uses hesitation when needed. Capable shooter hitting a couple threes and a step back two. As a distributor he has grown being able to get others involved in the half court along with the open floor. Friday night he had 20 points.
Sam Donald Sam Donald 6'8" | PF Columbia | 2025 State IL (Columbia – 2025)
Donald is a skilled forward that can really shoot the basketball. He drained a pair of them in the first half creating off the bounce for crisp pull ups. Does a nice job of creating space to get his shot off. In the second half it was more of the same with the shake for pull up twos, short jumper out of the post, then he let it fly for a pair of triples, along with mixing in a step through for 18 points and 7 rebounds.
Mason Shubert Mason Shubert 6'2" | SG Breese Central | 2024 State IL (Breese Central – 2024)
Shubert was excellent in their win against Peoria Notre Dame. The shooting guard from the top ranked team in 2A earned MVP honors by showing off a well-rounded game. He is a tough as nails player that does all the little things well. Was effective as a scrappy defender guarding bigger opponents and guards equally well. Active hands on the defensive end and turned steals into points on the other end. Cuts well off the ball, can hit a three when given space. He had 11 points. Small colleges should get on this glue guy!
Cooper Zachary Cooper Zachary 5'9" | PG Fishers | 2027 State IN (Fishers, IN – 2027)
Zachary is just a freshman, but he is already making a major impact on the varsity level. In a win against Homewood Flossmoor it was Zachary that notched 14 points on an array of athletic layups, pair of threes, and scores off the bounce. He made several quick dishes and was an impact defender with his quick hands racking up the steals.
