It was rubber match between two teams who had some intense matchups earlier this season. The Hansberry Bengals pulled out the win over Johnson Prep in a game of two of the best prospects many people haven’t seen!
Top Players
Al Brooks Al Brooks 6'6" | SF Hansberry | 2025 State #239 Nation IL Jr – Hansberry 2025 6’7
Al was a stat stuffer as always doing most of his work around the rim, taking defenders off the dribble, and using his length to score over guys. He was strong on the boards getting several tip-ins most off his misses. Brooks has a quick second jump with his length makes it. Al played well until he was thrown out with two technical fouls for taunting. He ended the game with 28 points and 16 rebounds.
Ikee Brooks Ikee Brooks 5'11" | PG Hansberry | 2025 State IL – Hansberry 2025 6″0
Ikee didn’t have the best first half but that didn’t matter because he was the show in the second! The quick guard was very aggressive in the second half when his team was down double digits getting to the cup because the shot wasn’t falling early on. When his brother was disqualified, he stepped up big as the primary scoring threat for the Bengals. Ikee scored all 17 points in the second half to lead Hansberry to the Noble Championship.
TJ Seals TJ Seals 6'5" | SF Johnson Prep | 2025 State IL – Johnson Prep 2025 6’5
The TJ versus Al matchup was the draw of this game and Seals didn’t disappoint. He shot the ball well from the perimeter, hitting four threes in the game. He’s not known for his shot making so it was good to see he had the confidence to shoot them in a big game. What Seals does do well is rebound the ball and push the break. He is one of the better passers in the state at the forward position. TJ had his team rolling until he eventually fouled out finishing with 22 points, 17 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Latones Robinson – Johnson 2025 5’10
Robinson is one of the guards who plays with tons of energy on both ends of the court. He was able to get several steals that led to fastbreaks points early on that helped Johnson set a pace of how they wanted to play the game. Latones would also make two threes that pushed the Pumas lead to double digits. In the second half it was more of the same pushing the tempo high to get steals and scoring layups until they eventually ran out of gas and Hansberry took control of the game. Robinson had 4 steals and 14 points in the loss.
