Tyson came up big when Walkertown needed it on Friday, leading all scorers with 32 points in a big conference win over Morehead. Going 4/6 from deep helped a lot, as he continues to be selectively efficient with his perimeter shotmaking. Also got to the free throw line more than usual, shooting 9 foul shots in total. He was aggressive, selective, and really efficient all night long, making him someone that deserves JuCo or D3 looks at the next level.
Cloer was outstanding in Orange’s romp over Southern Alamance on Friday, scoring 41 points and collecting 8 rebounds to set his career high mark in high school. He continues to terrorize people around the rim with extremely long arms and an ability to jump with the best of them, but he also knocked down 5 threes, matching his season high total in a game. His development of a consistent perimeter game will make him a real HM prospect, and a name to monitor nationally.
Vines put together a big game in an upset win over Mooresville on Friday, scoring 24 points and notching 4 assists as well. He’s been their senior leader as well as their most dynamic player all season long, and he was torching the Blue Devil’s defense in the lane and around the rim. He can also play on the wing with great length and defensive intensity, which makes him a legitimate two way player. He’s already got an NAIA offer and will look to pick up more as the season comes to a close.
Jordan Alston

Alston continues to tear teams up, scoring 21 in a loss earlier last week and going for 38 in a tight win over JF Webb on Friday. He’s a put his head down, drive the ball to the rim regardless of contact kind of player. He’s physical, strong, and that helps him get to the charity stripe a lot when he can create contact around the rim. He shot nineteen free throws in the game, which helped him rack up free points and put Webb’s players in some foul trouble.
Littlejohn continues to be a model of consistency for Hickory this year, going for 22 against West Iredell and 13 in a very limited appearance against North Iredell. Hickory blows so many teams out that Littlejohn’s stats have not been gaudy, but he showed this week that he can get to the rim, score double digits, play tenacious defense, and get off the floor to let his younger teammates play. He’ll start to heat up and get more recognition around the state assuming Hickory goes on a big state tournament run.
