Continue ReadingOne of the top overall prospects in the state regardless of class, his talent alone is one of the reasons why Southern Durham will be such a tough out in the playoffs. He has the combination of skillset and size that makes him a difficult player to defend and has the chance to cause some major issues for teams.
If the Wolverines hope to take home another state championship, they will need the big-time production that they have gotten from him throughout the season. He is a double/double machine that plays with the toughness that still allows him to have a big game even on an off-shooting night.
White Oak will be in the mix to be one of the teams to come out of the division and one of the reasons why is Benbow Jr. He has been very productive for the Vikings this season, providing good offensive production and using his athletic ability to make plays.
Highlights
The strides that he’s made over the past year have been simply outstanding as all of his numbers are up in a major way. Floor generals are very important when it comes to State Tournament time and that’s clearly the role he takes on for his team. He’s a natural leader, can score and facilitate at a nice level while keeping his turnovers at a low ratio.
