Daquan Slayton
Daquan Slayton
Slayton will be a defender to keep an eye on as he is averaging 5.3 steals per game and is also able to chip in on the boards as well. He has quick feet and can stay in front of the shiftier guards. He has good vision and plays the passing lanes well. This will be a fast paced game with both teams having good defenses and he will be the main defender for his team.
Rhoades-Martinez is a player that has been an anchor for his team and will continue to anchor the defense in tonight’s game as well. He is averaging 3.3 steals per game but impacts the game with his on-ball defense. He is an elite defender that can guard the teams top scorer and lock them down. He has good vision and can get over quickly in help side. He will be a player to watch on both ends as he can get buckets as well.
Johnathan Reed
Johnathan Reed
Reed is a walking double-double and will be a big to look for in tonight’s games. In the last matchup against Holy Family he had 3 blocks and was a beast on the boards. He will look to duplicate that performance with being able to lockdown the low post and make life difficult in the paint. He will also be able to limit second chance points and get the ball out quickly on the break.
Gabe Selby
Gabe Selby
Selby will be a player to keep an eye on as he will be active on the boards and can play the passing lane at times as well. In the last matchup he was able to pull down 14 boards and will look to limit the second chance points again. He will have a chance to get in the passing lane as it should be a faster paced game.
Stremel will be a player to watch as he was able to crash the defensive boards in the last matchup against Columbine. He was able to get in the passing lane also and will be looking to use his quickness to get some easy buckets in transition. He is able to get over quickly in help side as well and can alter shots down low in the post.
