Providence blows out New Albany
One of the bigger southern Indiana games last night was the New Albany Bulldogs travel to Providence to face the Pioneers. Unfortunately, the game did not turn out to be a great as Providence blow out New Albany 64-47 behind Noah Lovan Noah Lovan 6'3" | PG Providence | 2024 State IN scoring 19 points in the win. Quentin Hesse Quentin Hesse 6'2" | SG Providence | 2024 State IN added 13 points in the win, as well. Jordan Treat Jordan Treat 6'0" | PG New Albany | 2025 IN led New Albany with 13 points. Providence now sits at 15-3 on the year and look like a team that could make a deep run in Class 2A.
Crown Point gets big win over Valpo
The Bulldogs of Crown Point are making a strong case as the most overlooked team in northern Class 4A. They ensnared their sixth-straight win last night with the close 58-55 road win at Valpo. Rising sophomore Dikembe Shaw Dikembe Shaw 6'6" | SF Crown Point | 2026 State IN and enior guard Jack Svetich Jack Svetich 6'2" | SG Crown Point | 2024 State IN were the team leaders in points last night with 17. The game-high scoring honor goes to junior standout Jack Smiley Jack Smiley 6'2" | PG Valparaiso | 2025 State IN with 28 points. This was Crown Point’s 14th win of the season and are looking like a team that could come out of Sectional 2.
Ben Davis gets massive road win over Lawrence North
The Lawrence North Wildcats were once a dominant undefeated team this season and while they still are very good, they have lost their last 2-of-3. The Ben Davis Giants gave the Wildcats their second loss of the season and their first at home. The Giants were led by Northwestern signee K.J. Windham K.J. Windham 6'3" | PG Ben Davis | 2024 State #137 Nation IN with a game high 29 points and was the only Ben Davis player to score in double-figures. Lawrence North was led by junior standout Azavier Robinson Azavier Robinson 6'1" | PG Lawrence North | 2025 State #88 Nation IN with a team-high 12 points. The Giants would win 60-53 and get their fifth straight win.
