Breakdown Watchlist
WHY?
13-7 record. I think the Eagles will have some trouble with this BIG fella! Smith is large, strong, but also long. He will protect the paint and gobble up rebounds. I hope Alpha Camara Alpha Camara 6’5″ | SF Fargo Davies | 2024 State ND and Smith get matched up on each other. This could be a fun matchup as they are both interior players but have a different build. Aaron will have trouble staying with Alpha but Aaron will be able to burry him low and score with his brute strength. I am interested to see if Smith does any scoring outside of the paint. From the film I watched, He looks to have a soft scoring tough around the rim.
Highlights
WHY?
12-4 record. 16 GP, 11.4 ppg (57.4 FG%), 10.6 rpg, 1.4 apg, 0 made 3FG. He is crushing it as of late. Camara looked like a dude last Saturday against Alexandria and last night against South he went for 20 points and 11 rebounds. Alpha will have a great test tomorrow as Osseo will have excellent athletes and plenty of length. Will Camara have another impressive performance against talent from the Cities? Time will tell, it will certainly be a fun matchup!
WHY?
10-9 record. Averaging 24.2 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 4.5 apg, 2.6 spg. Has had some splashy scoring games but the Nuggets are at their best when Stoa is able to distribute to cutters. A long guard with impressive passing skills and the ability to score from every level.
Highlights
WHY?
9-9 record. Averaging 10.2 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 4.6 apg. BJ is a PG & floor general, a selfless passer, and a consistent leader. As you can see, he fills up the stat sheet as an excellent rebounder for a PG and he is a volume assist guy. He plays calm & cool and his skills are impressive. I am interested to see if the Packers can keep BJ out of the paint and how his outside jumper looks.
Highlights
WHY?
7-8 record. Carter can do it all on the court. Vrchota will take what the defense gives him. If the D gives space, Carter will pull the trigger, if they close out too hard, he will slash. If the opponent over helps, expect a dime, and he can score in a variety of ways around the hoop. Vrchota vs. Stoa could be a fun matchup. Both are competitors and I expect neither to back down.
WHY?
11-5 record. 16 GP, 20.5ppg (67.6 FG%), 11.1rpg, 1.7apg, 7 made 3FG (29%). Having a rockstar senior season. Carter never shies away from contact. As you can see, Carter is super efficient and he shoots a crazy high percentage. He has a nose for the ball and his patience around the basket is amazing. I want to see how Zeller does against the BIGs from DeLaSalle. Do they have anyone that can match his toughness and strength?
Highlights
WHY?
7-8 record. Cole is big and skilled lefty. He is a dangerous scorer from every level. Cole can take BIGs out to the wing and drill triples, pick-n-pop, score & attack from the elbow. He is also crafty on the block with some sweet moves. Look for him to do solid work on the boards & protect the rim. I am looking forward to seeing Holzer go head-to-head with Nelson from Hawley. Both are productive rebounders and playmakers in the paint.
WHY?
12-4 record. 15 GP, 16.3 ppg (48.9 FG%), 3.9 rpg, 3.9 apg, 16 made 3FG (52%). I want to see him matchup with the top-notch athletes from Osseo and see how he fairs. In the EDC, Yorke is a pesky and frustrating defender, can he do that against a Metro team from MN? I also want to see how his perimeter shot looks. Does he blend in or stand out at the Breakdown?
WHY?
13-7 record. I want to see he and Mason Klabo Mason Klabo 6’2″ | PG Fargo Davies | 2025 State #240 Nation ND go at it! Larkins is known as fast player who makes positive plays in transition. Can the Eagles keep up with him? De’Mari is a creator on the offensive end, I am interested to see if Davies can keep him out of the paint and how much havoc does De’Mari cause on defense?
WHY?
9-9 record. Averaging 18.6 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.9 apg. A consistent playmaker for the Spuds. Smith gets buckets from all 3 levels. DJ has had an excellent season and has knocked down some monster shots. He is a big/physical/athletic wing. It will be interesting to see how the Packers defend Smith.
Shoutout and congrats to DJ who just committed to Northern State for football!
WHY?
13-3 record. 15 GP, 13.0 ppg (55.6 FG%), 6.1 rpg, 4.0 apg, 8 made 3FG (30%). A big strong guard who makes everyone around him better. Kempel works hard on both ends, is a playmaker, and can lock people up. It will be interesting to see who guards him from the Otters. If Bethel takes him, Drew will have a nice size advantage and I could see him scoring buckets around the rim. Who knows, the Otters could zone and it won’t matter. Either way, Kempel will have a big impact on the game tomorrow.
Highlights
WHY?
9-9 record. Averaging 19.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.4 apg. Zimmerman has turned into one of the better defenders for the Spuds. ON O, he is a 3-level producer and a microwave from beyond the 3-point arc. Dylan is also bouncy, do not be surprised if he gets up for a couple rim-rocking slams.
WHY?
11-5 record. 15 GP, 12.1 ppg (45.7 FG%), 5.5 rpg, 2.1 apg, 36 made 3FG (46%). An extra-long wing who can shoot the lights out from long range. DeBoer can also score inside the paint with his length. He is a tough matchup with is shooting range and ability to take people inside. It will be fun to see if Eric can hot on Moorhead’s new court and put on a show.
WHY?
13-3 record. 14 GP, 7.1 ppg (45.5 FG%), 4.4 rpg, 1.6 apg, 14 made 3FG (37%). Super star athlete with a mature build and super-human strength. Gibby gets elevation on his jump shot that most college players would be jealous of. I have not watched Kinnebrew live since the AAU season, so I am interested see if he looks much bigger and how is skills are. The Otters have some gifted athletes, it will be fun to see how he stacks up against those guys. For the Minnesotans who do not know about Gibby, they are in for a treat!
WHY?
9-9 record. Averaging 21.5 ppg, 6 rpg, 2 apg, as quick as a cat, great hands, tough to keep in front. Bethel is electric from the field and he can take over the game in a heartbeat. He is deadly from 3-point land and is dynamic at attacking the rim. Pick your poison with Mr. Bethel!
Highlights
WHY?
13-3 record. 15 GP, 19.9 ppg (44.7 FG%), 3.1 rpg, 1.3 apg, 55 made 3FG (39%). Easily one of the top shooters in the state of North Dakota. I have not watched him live this season and I am excited to see how Schafer performs. Century has a big game tonight against Legacy and then they hit the road tomorrow for the trip across North Dakota. It will interesting to see the Patriots intensity level tomorrow afternoon against the Otters. Expect a quick trigger and many made triples from the future Mustang!
WHY?
13-7 record. It will be fun to see the UMD commit go against North who also has next-level athletes. It will be interesting to see how the NoDak kids measure up. Who from North will guard the athletic Mr. Morgan? North should not give Jaden space, if they do, he will hit the perimeter J, Morgan will also get downhill and make plays in the paint. Morgan vs. J Sem could be an intriguing matchup!
Highlights
WHY?
11-5 record. 8 GP, 17.4 ppg (40.7 FG%), 6.3 rpg, 2.5 apg, 16 made 3FG (33%). When he goes up against North Dakota teams, Sem is always the best athlete on the court. Will that be the case tomorrow when the face the Islanders? Will Jeremiah have any jaw-dropping dunks and how well does he include others? It will be fun watching North take on DeLaSalle and see if they can live up to all the hype and potential.
WHY?
13-7 record. He is known as a three-point shooter who can fill-it-up. Johnson can also get buckets in the paint with his skill and creativeness. Does North have anyone who can slow Justin down? Johnson can also cause problems on defense, it will be interesting to see if he can get into the North guards and force turnovers. Will Johnson be one of the best lead guards at the Breakdown?
Highlights
Noah Nelson
Noah Nelson
WHY?
10-9 record. Averaging a Double-Double! I want to see if Nelson can grab double digit rebounds against Cole Holzer Cole Holzer 6’7″ | PF Central Cass | 2024 State ND from Central Cass. The Nuggets are tough when they get production inside and out from Noah. When that happens, Hawley puts up points in bunches.
WHY?
12-4 record. 8 GP, 27.8 ppg (46.0 FG%), 7.8 rpg, 5.4 apg, 26 made 3FG (46%). He is fresh off a 31 point performance over Fargo South. Will be produce against the big dogs from Minnesota? Klabo has multiple D1 offers, does he perform like it against Osseo?
Highlights
WHY?
9-9 record. 16 ppg, 11 rpg, 2 bpg. It will be interesting to see who the Patriots put on Hirst. Ryan is a stellar athlete and is having a great season. The mobile athlete is comfortable guarding on the perimeter and the post. On O, he moves very well, and thrives at attacking the basket from the wing and nail. He uses a plethora of moves down low, Ryan is a mismatch for many. He is shooting 54% from the field and he shoot 6 FT’s per game. Get ready for Hirst to impress you with some splashy dunks as well.
Highlights
WHY?
5-10 record. 15 GP, 9.6 ppg (42.6 FG%), 3.3 rpg, 3.1 apg, 18 made 3FG (39%). He was recently a Stock Riser in the Prospect Rankings update for the 2026 Class. Sam is having a quality season and I am impressed with his shooting percentage from beyond the arc. I want to see how he looks against the athletes from Moorhead. His assists numbers are also looking good. PHD is excited to watch Sam “The Show” Glandt under the bright lights.
Highlights
WHY?
5-10 record. 15 GP, 23.4 ppg (44.5 FG%), 12.7 rpg, 2.6 apg, 15 made 3FG (30%). Strong like bull and tough as nails. The Spuds do not have much for interior size, so it will be interesting to see how Moorhead goes at Leal. The Spuds do have some impressive athletes, it will be fun to see Tony work around the basket. Watch him play ball for 1 minute and it will be easy to see why he is a D2 football player.
