These are going to be names we have all heard of before, a who’s who in the state’s ranking list, it seems. For this mid-season report we have to take in competition level and/or some career accomplishments. We have all become accustomed to hearing these names and then hopefully appreciating their play not just this year but in their careers. For me, when describing Tim Franks Tim Franks 6'5" | SG Homestead | 2024 State WI a descriptive word is ‘Leadership’. I have enjoyed watching his career and the way he goes about competition. K2 is what I call rocking chair basketball. Us as fans just sit down & watch the most fundamentally sound virtually mistake free basketball being played. Game video should be shown to young players on how he plays. I can’t imagine a better entertainment in basketball, watching this play and then checking the stat sheet after and we all exclaim….he put up what? He scored that many? It’s all in the flow. It’s as cool as that rocking chair and a glass of your favorite lemonade. #2 on his high school’s all-time list in scoring & rebounding with a chance to be number before it’s over. Committed to Duke.

What an absolute career! Three-time state champion. Maybe the most complete career in recent memory. I have often said that there is not another player in the state that has a bigger offensive back than Nick. A gym rat who puts in the work. Committed to Nebraska
Cody Schmitz Cody Schmitz 6'4" | SG Gale Ettrick-Trempeleau | 2024 State WI | 6’5″ | W | 2024 | G.E.T. | Wisconsin Blizzard
Stat Line: 31.6ppg / 10.7rpg / 3.2apg*
More Numbers: 384 Total points, 50-point high game, 34% on 56 attempts 3-pointers
Team: 14-3 14
This one can put up some numbers where he has at times has led the state in scoring. Maybe overlooked at times being north of La Crosse, WI. but he is talented in averaging a double-double per game. He has more than 2000 career points. Currently ranked #14 in the state. As far as I know he is uncommitted but is receiving DII interest
