These players have shown major improvements to their games this season as it has been on full display. Here are players who I think are having a great season for the 2024 class part two.
Clayville is an offensive scoring machine at the guard position. Averaging over 20 ppg Clayville can hit every shot in the book. His ability to get hot in a hurry from deep makes him a tough guard because all it takes is for one or two shots to go in to heat him up. He can get to the rim whenever he wants using his strong upper body and soft touch around the rim. He can control the midrange with his 6’1″ size to shoot over smaller defenders.
Massung is looking to build even more on his terrific season so far. He uses his elite athleticism to attack the rim and seek contact to force the referees to call the foul. He is not afraid to throw it down over anyone standing under the rim. Massung can hang in the air longer than normal allowing him to twist and turn his way in the air to get some impressive finishes over multiple defenders. His go-to move is his hop-step move he uses to create space for his shots. He is averaging over 14 ppg this season while getting about 1.5 steals a game making him a two-way player.
Peña is having an awesome season so far with his two-way ability on full display. He can shoot from deep and can increase his range the more he makes throughout a game. His quick and high release allows him to get his shot off with very little room. He can stop on a dime in the midrange and hit the quick pull-up jumper too. On defense, he can get after players on the perimeter. Averaging just over 1.6 steals a game he has excellent defensive instincts to disrupt passing lanes and elite ball handlers looking to create their offense.
Cook can score the ball as well as anyone in his class and does it explosively. His athletic ability allows him to hang in the air to get some tough finishes around the rim. He is shifty with the ball in his hands and will look to break down any defender looking to test him. He can work the midrange well and looks to attack mismatches to get easy jumpers. Cook can get hot from deep the more he starts to make throughout a game. He is averaging over 20 ppg this season and has just been on an absolute tear scoring the basketball.
Culuko has been on a mission this season scoring the basketball. Averaging close to 28 ppg Culuko can get his offense from anywhere on the court. His all-around skillset allows him to dominate in any area of the game. His ability to put the ball on the floor and take defenders off the dribble is what makes it tough to stay in front of him. His strong upper body gives him the strength advantage to absorb contact from multiple defenders when going to the rim for tough finishes. He can hit any shot you set in front of him and is just an overall elite player in every fashion of the game. Look for Culuko to continue to keep torching defenses this season.
