These players have shown the flashes and potential to do big things in the future as it is only just getting started for them. Here are players from the 2026 class who I think are having great seasons.
Lin has terrific scoring ability at the point guard position and that has not changed this season. Averaging just over 14 ppg Lin can shoot the basketball as well as anyone in his class. At 6’3″ he uses his quick and elusive handles to get around tough defenses. He can work the midrange game using his patience and quick decision-making. Lin has good athletic ability to get to the rim with his size as he can finish with both hands around the rim with ease.
Burnam is far from being a one-dimensional player as he can take over games in so many different ways. His all-around play gives him the full ability to create havoc on both sides of the ball. With averages of 15 ppg and 4 rebounds per game, Burnam uses his speed and quickness to fly up and down to the court. He can shoot the ball from deep and likes to put the ball on the floor to get by weaker defenders. His playmaking and defensive ability complete his whole game as he can be his team’s best offensive and defensive player.
Taylor Jr. can shoot lights out along with having the ability to break down defenders with his quick handles and finishing ability around the rim. As an elite offensive threat averaging over 14 ppg Taylor Jr. has zero hesitation when looking to pull up for a shot and can create his offense in any broken-down play. Contested and swarming defenses do not faze him and he has the utmost confidence and patience to make the right play seemly every time.
Highlights
Gregory can do a lot of great things on the court with his size and versatility. He gets to the rim with ease and has a good shot from deep and the midrange averaging over 16 ppg. His quick and high release allows him to shoot over most contested defenses. Gregory can stop on a dime in an instant and pull up for the easy jumper anywhere on the court. His long arms and quick instincts give him the ability to defend anyone on the perimeter giving players zero space to get around him.
Nayar is a great shooter from deep and as his range gets deeper the more he makes throughout a game. Averaging over 13 ppg Nayar needs very little space to get his shot off from anywhere on the court. As the point guard, he looks to run many pick-n-rolls to get his teammates easy rolls to the rim. His shifty handles allow him to get to any spot he wants to and will use his speed in different situations making him a tough guard.
