Today we will dig deeper into the Pennsylvania Class of 2025 rankings and review five players who used November’s fall ball action as well as the first month and a half of the 2023-24 high school season to make a tremendous impression on us.
Below is a review of five southeastern Pennsylvania prospects from our 2025 rankings who we would send a college scholarship offer right now.
#30…Sebastian Edwards – 6’2″ / Roman Catholic / East Coast Power / Point Guard: In our latest Class of 2025 rankings Edwards rose 20 spots up our board. Those who have watched him play this season know exactly why. Edwards has become a maestro with the ball in his hands. He can push the fast break to score or distribute. In the half-court he produces points at all three levels and directs Roman’s sets with precision. Edwards is averaging 11 points and 4 assists per game while shooting 46% from deep.
#60… Zamir Parker-Barnes Zamir Parker-Barnes 6'4" | CG Abington Friends | 2025 State PA – 6’4″ / Abington Friends / Philly Pride Select / Shooting Guard: This season Parker-Barnes has displayed the ability to score from anywhere on the floor in the highly competitive Friends School League. This wiry, athletic, and bouncy prospect hung 28 points (2 threes) on Westtown School; posted 23 points against Germantown Friends; and scored 19 points vs. George School. As a bonus, Parker-Barnes is an excellent perimeter defender.
#71… Deacon Baratta Deacon Baratta 6'6" | SF Phoenixville | 2025 State PA – 6’5” / Phoenixville / East Coast Power / Wing: Baratta is a high IQ and versatile playmaker on both ends of the court. He knocks down jumpers from all over the floor, scores and facilitates off the dribble, excels in the transition, rebounds, and block shots. Baratta is averaging 13 points per game and recently dropped 21 points (2 threes) in a win over Strath Haven.
#126… Ryan Mulroy Ryan Mulroy 6'3" | SF Upper Dublin | 2025 State PA – 6’3” / Upper Dublin / Penn Warriors / Combo Guard: A big reason for UD’s 13-1 start this season has been Mulroy’s development into a No. 1 option. He possesses a deep bag of dribble scoring moves. Mulroy also owns an automatic three-point stroke. His non-stop off ball movement and his extensive use of ball / head fakes are impressive too. Currently Mulroy is posting 16 points and 5 rebounds per contest. He scored a season high 24 points (2 threes) vs. Wissahickon.
#152… Trey Kern Trey Kern 6'4" | SF Boyertown | 2025 State PA – 6’5” / Boyertown / East Coast Power / Small Forward: In his last three games, Kern has recorded stat lines of 27 points (2 threes) and 6 rebounds; 19 points (1 three) and 7 boards; and 24 points (3 triples) to go along with 8 rebounds. This lefty stretch-4 style prospect excels at scoring off dives / cuts to the rim. He also will post up smaller defenders and then convert through contact. Plus, Kern (13.4 ppg.) is extremely comfortable shooting from behind the arc (38%). His size and instincts make Kern a plus rebounder at both ends.
