Will Ameden, 6’4 W/F – Burr and Burton Academy Class of 2024
Will’s output and impact is far and wide. Ameden’s ability to play multiple positions, defend with versatility, and operate in numerous roles offensively makes him so dynamic. He covers 3-5, able to move his feet on the perimeter or bulk up and get physical inside to rim protect and rebound. Yet he might snatch a board or a pass and go coast-to-coast with solid finishing in the open court. In the halfcourt, he can work out of any spot. Will’s a good shooter from deep off the catch, has shown the one-dribble pull-up, and can initiate the offense from the perimeter, the high-post, the list goes on. Dynamic on both ends.
Zach Davis, 6’5 W/F – Colchester H.S. Class of 2024
The hardwood might not be Zach’s most dominant arena, but the future Bryant University pitcher sure gets it done. With his size and smooth stroke, Zach can get real hot real fast. Davis gets some work done around the interior as a rebounder and rim protector defensively, but on the offensive end he’s most lethal on the perimeter as a spot-up shooter and pick-and-pop threat, plus his passing vision keeps the defense honest. Moreover, he sets good screens and often opens himself up with smart movement afterwards. The two-sport standout is hovering around 20ppg. with his inside/out work.
Joe Buxton, 6’4 W/F – Fair Haven Union H.S. Class of 2024
In VT Joe oscillates between being a wing and a forward, but I get the feel he’s a true 3. Joe is most comfortable on the wing as a spot-up shooter, smart cutter, and solid screen setter. That’s not to say he doesn’t get it done from the high post vs zones or from the short corner; he’s an aware facilitator from those spots and can grease the offense with his passing. Defensively, he’s measured on the perimeter. He won’t put on a ton of pressure, but he keeps guys in front. Plus, he can get tough inside, contesting shots plus rebounding the rock. Good work.
Brody Tyburski, 6’2 F – Hartford Union H.S. Class of 2024
Tyburski has that old school forward feel to him. The star QB is also a rugged interior presence, using his strong frame and bulldog approach to feast out of the post, rebound second chance buckets, and free up shooters with inside-out passing. He might not have significant height, but he plays bigger than he is, utilizing his sturdy foundation to get physical on both ends. Brody’s a double-double threat any given night and you knows he’s giving 100%.
Hayden Boivin, 6’5 W/F – North Country Union H.S. Class of 2025
Boivin put the work in over last summer to really evolve his game, becoming an inside/out threat on the offensive end. Hayden’s a solid 6’5 with good footwork a sharpened handle, using his smooth game to drive from the perimeter or to work the post on the interior. Moreover, his shot off the catch has really blossomed, becoming a good shooter from deep. Defensively he’s the modern 3/4 with his ability to defend 3-5, protect the rim a bit, rebound the rock and push the break. Boivin will give you anywhere from 12-18 ppg. and will contribute in other ways as well. Solid player out of NCU.
