Continue ReadingAs a true point guard Jayden Scott Jayden Scott 6’0″ | PG Cedar Grove | 2026 State GA didn’t worry about his offense much in a 57-50 win over Douglass. He served as a pass-first playmaker but was a tough finisher when he got to the rim. He scored on a pair of steals and was able to score through contact. His best basket came on a difficult driving reverse layup. Jayden did well handling against pressure. He finished with 7 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
Mickell paced Douglass with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. He scored 15 points in the second half, nine coming in the fourth quarter. Jacob found his points on a coast-to-coast drive, two putbacks, a transition hoop running the floor, a baseline drive, a three and a spin into a short floater.
I like Aiden’s quickness and strength at guard. He slashes to the basket and creates for others with his penetration. Portee finishes with both hands at the hoop. The athletic guard tallied 8 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block in the 57-52 loss. Only a junior, expect D-III programs to jump in soon.
Cassius is a downhill guard that plays with great energy. Watkins loves getting to his floater. The lefty has a quick teardrop in his arsenal as he looks to attack the rim. I loved his hustle, immediately diving on the floor for a loose ball, crashing into the bench early on in the game. Watkins has winning on his mind at all times. He tallied 6 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal in an 82-59 win over Mays.
