Team of the Year
Candidates
Albany High School. Won a state championship (22-23) and they are currently ranked second in Class AA (23-24).
Cherry High School. Went to state in Class A (22-23) and they are ranked first in Class A (23-24) right now.
D1 Minnesota 16 and Under. Won 31 of 39 games and qualified for the Team USA event in July.
Fundamental Sports Academy/J Sizzle 15 and Under. Top ranked 15U team in state, won several 16u games.
Minnesota Fury 17 and Under. Won the Hard Work Region championship for the third straight season, went 36-4
Minnesota Select 16 and Under. Won an AAU high 42 games (42-5), won Hard Work 16s, won a league, won three other bracket events
Real Phenom 17 and Under. This team took this program to an entire new level of winning and honors with a 31-win season.
Park Center High School. Finished second in state (22-23) in a class title game, ranked second in the state now (23-24)
Totino-Grace High School. Won a Class AAA title in (22-23) and they are currently ranked first in Class AAA (23-24).
Wayzata High School. Won a state title (22-23) and they are currently ranked number one overall in all class right now (23-24).

Calvin “CJ” Armstrong of Richfield/ D1 Minnesota . Top player on the 16u Prospects team that ranked highly, currently scoring 37 a game as a junior, had a strong sophomore year.

Coach of the Year
Nick Brock of Real Phenom/Robbinsdale Armstrong (ast). Brock led Real Phenom to a 31 win year and is also an assistant for the Falcons who had a big win over Farmington two days ago.
Nick Carroll of Totino-Grace. Carroll led Totino-Grace to a second straight state title last year and has his team number one in Class AAA right now.
Tommy Chatman/Ben Claassen of FSA/J Sizzle. The pair led their team to a solid Adidas season, won games at 15u on the Prep Hoops Circuit and won several games at 16u on the Prep Hoops Circuit.
Jay Furhman of D1 Minnesota /Holy Family (ast). Led his D1 Minnesota team to top spot in 16u, to the Team USA event in July, and helped Holy Family to state last year and to a top ten spot this year.
Joe Madson of Mankato East. Joe led East to the state tournament last season and has them top two in Class AA right now.
Mitch Ohnstad of Minnesota Select . Led Select to numerous weekend and league championships on their way to a 42-5 record.
Bryan Schnettler of Wayzata. Led Wayzata to a state title last year and they are number one in Class AAAA right now.
Cory Schalgel of Albany. Led Albany to a title last year and they are number two in Class AA right now.
James Ware of Park Center. Led the Pirates to the top spot or ranked second all season last year, all season this year, and they finished second in state last year after a classic title game.
Peter Zurn of Minnesota Fury . Led the Fury to a 36-4 season that included yet another Hard Work Region Championship.
The winner pulling double duty is…. Jay Fuhrman of D1 Minnesota and Holy Family.
