Travon Henderson (Raytown South): The 6’0″ 2024 point guard was one of the more impressive offensive players that I watched at the tournament. He has a pretty deep bag along with the ability to get a bucket at all three levels. He scored a game-high 25 points in a victory over St. Michael the Archangel in the game that I looked at. He accelerates in the open court with his speed to get to the basket and he can also create off the dribble to get to his spots on the floor. He has a feathery shooting touch from the perimeter.
Kai Reed (Lee’s Summit North): A 6’3″ 2025 power forward who was a problem to guard in the post with his big body and physicality. He moves defenders when he sets up shot in the low post and he can also dribble-back down his defenders to punish them on his way to getting to the basket. He also has the skill set to turn and face the basket and make a quick move. He is also a very good passer out of the post.
Dylan Davis (Rock Bridge): A 6’0″ 2025 guard who is very effective on offense because he was constantly moving and staying aggressive. When he turns the corner, he is going to get downhill to score or either get fouled. He was also getting layups off of his good movement and cutting ability. He was also able to knock down the open 3-pointer.
Cameron Yows Cameron Yows 6'4" | SG Lee's Summit | 2025 State MO (Lee’s Summit): A 6’4″ 2025 wing guard who really shot the ball well in the game I watched against Rock Bridge for third place. He drained a number of 3-pointers in the game and he seemed to take a liking to the left side of the floor. He was making them off the catch and he hit another one off a high ball screen.
Maurice Jackson (Ruskin): A 2024 guard who was impressive at both ends of the court with his length and activity. He was very effective as a slasher on the offensive end along with his ability to score in the transition game. He also used his length and athleticism on defense as he was able to get deflections and steals along with a few blocked shots.
Mekhi McNeal (Lee’s Summit): A 5’11” 2026 point guard with good quickness and the ability to change speeds to keep defenders off balance. He was able to touch the paint on a consistent basis. He was scoring on runners in the lane and short jumpers on the pull up. He is also a solid defender with quick hands to create steals.
