Ramelo Smith (Raytown): A 6'1" 2025 point guard who led the Bluejays to the tournament championship. The talented, slick-ball handling guard displayed his clutch gene when he hit a 3-pointer in the final seconds of regulation to send the championship game into overtime against Lee Summit North. He has a high basketball IQ who sees the court well to distribute the ball to all spots on the floor. He is a potent scorer who can operate with a pick and roll with three-level scoring ability. He is one of the best point guards in the KC area and part of a loaded 2025 class at that position.

Jaylen Lockhart (Lee's Summit): A 6'5" 2025 forward who has good size and quickness, which makes it a tough matchup for defenders of similar size. He was beating defenders off the dribble with his quick first step and he could either go left or right. He also has some explosive athleticism around the rim. He was catching the ball inside off dribble penetration and throwing down some impressive slam dunks. He also made some good defensive rotations, which resulted in blocked shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1263916' first='Le'Taveion' last='East'] (Raytown): A 6'1" 2024 guard who is physically strong with an old-school vibe to his game. He is tough when he is getting downhill on the drive and he uses his big body to create space when he backs his defender down into the lane. He does not let himself get sped up. He can score well against contact in the lane and he compliments it with a nice perimeter stroke.

[player_tooltip player_id='1914117' first='Pierre' last='Smith'] (Ruskin): The 5'10" 2024 point guard is a quick lefty who is tough to guard with his speed and perimeter shooting ability. He has blow-by speed to get into the lane off of dribble penetration, but he can also light it up from 3-point range when he has things going. In the consolation bracket game against St. Michael, he made three consecutive high-arching 3-pointers to break open a close game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1259032' first='Kavan' last='Newberry'] (Lee's Summit North): The 6'0" 2024 guard earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team with his excellent perimeter shooting throughout the weekend. He averaged 14 points a game and he made a total of six 3-pointers in the semifinals and championship game. He also has good quickness and playmaking skills and a good decision maker with the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='1425342' first='Reese' last='Minnix'] (Rock Bridge): A 6'7" 2025 forward who had some impressive moments off the bench in the Bruins' win over Lee's Summit in the third-place game. He has a big body, but he was very good game when he is facing the basket. He has the skill set to take an opposing big off the dribble and score in the lane with a runner or a short jumper. He is also a good passer who was hitting open cutters for layups.

[player_tooltip player_id='1881823' first='Larry' last='Porter'] Jr. (Raytown): A 6'4" 2025 guard who has good athleticism and a nice mid-range game. He is very adept at getting into the lane and his pull up jumper from the elbow is cash money. He gets to his spots on the floor and he doesn't get sped up. He is also very effective in the mid-post area where he has a nice turnaround jumper.
