Here’s a look at part three of the standouts from the event.
Teddy Morgan Teddy Morgan 6'6" | SG Edison | 2024 State VA | 6’5” WF | Edison 2024
Morgan was fantastic for Edison in their close loss to Trinity Episcopal in the fifth place game, as he absolutely dominated the entire game but was particularly hot in the second half where he hit his first six shots from the field. He showed the entire bag as he got to the rim and finished through contact, he showed a great midrange game where he didn’t need much space to get his shot off and he made big shots from deep too. He finished the game with 25 points and 6 rebounds in a three point loss.
Anthony Saunders Anthony Saunders 6'2" | SG Edison | 2025 State VA | 6’2” WG | Edison 2025
Saunders is widely considered one of the top juniors in the NOVA public schools, and he showed why as he used his blend of size and skill to score the ball in a number of ways that was impressive. He posted smaller defenders and showed a variety of spins as well as the ability to muscle through to get to the rim, he made shots from multiple levels and he showed he can work with or without the ball to get open and get downhill. He finished with 19 points and 4 rebounds in their win.
Brennan Chatman Brennan Chatman 6'3" | SF Norfolk Collegiate | 2024 State VA | 6’2” WG | Norfolk Collegiate 2024
Chatman was a huge catalyst for NoCo in their one point double OT loss to Manchester in the championship game, and he wasted no time as he caught fire early and just poured it on in the first half. The 6’2” lefty worked well off the ball to get open, setting his feet and draining triples then attacking closeouts off the bounce, and while he was marked in the second half and deferred he still hit big shots down the stretch to extend the game. He finished with 27 points going 6-for-9 from deep and had 9 rebounds as well.
Rashaad Williams Rashaad Williams 5'10" | PG Norfolk Collegiate | 2024 State VA | 5’10” PG | Norfolk Collegiate 2024
Williams and Chatman traded off as he was quiet in the first half with only two points, but stepped up big time as a scorer at the beginning of the second half and applied a ton of pressure defensively. He showed his shiftiness and ability to touch the paint where he made plays for himself and others, he had some very tough finishes over bigger defenders and he was a pest defensively throughout the game. He finished with 17 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals in the loss.
Khalil Caple Khalil Caple 6'4" | CG Norfolk Collegiate | 2025 State VA | 6’3” WG | Norfolk Collegiate 2025
Caple is an intriguing prospect for this NoCo team that plays multiple positions and roles for them throughout the game, and his versatility was key for them in many moments. He posted up smaller guards and got buckets in the paint, he worked well in the middle against the zone and he competed on both ends of the floor for them even fighting through a late ankle injury and continuing to produce. He finished with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
Justin Burroughs | 6’6” WF | Norfolk Collegiate 2025
Burroughs is another intriguing piece who has to play out of position since he’s the biggest player on NoCo, but that didn’t stop him from being a big time impact player on both ends of the floor. While he prefers to play on the perimeter offensively and made shots and showed his ability to get downhill, he thrived defensively as he protected the rim, got a ton of deflections and was a monster on the glass on both ends of the floor. He finished with 11 points, 11 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks.
