Ok, we all know that Vis is an elite all around athlete. One of the best overall in the state hands down. He’s the kind of young man that’s just good at stuff. Give him a croquet mallet and he’s probably going to run it. Vis just scored his 1000th point on Friday in a win against Kenowa Hills. He has the ability to score at the rim by utilizing angles as well as with a knock down jumper from behind the arc, Vis currently sits at 6th on the South Christian all-time scoring list. I can very easily see him giving all time in state greats like Matt Steigenga and David Kool a run on that list.
Christian Fontaine Christian Fontaine 6’4″ | SG Lutheran Westland | 2024 State MI recently scored his 1000th high school basketball point. If you haven’t heard his name, you’re going to want to remember it. How good is he? He’s easily one of the best ever at Lutheran Westland and is an extremely underrated player that carries a next level skill set and talent. Fontaine does an excellent job finding and utilizing spacing and getting quality looks at the rim. A lot of players can get or are given high quality shots. But very few fill it up like Fontaine does. And for any college coaches reading, he’s not just a scorer. He’s can play as a distributer and is an excellent rebounder off the perimeter.

Seeing Donny Yeager Donny Yeager 6’0″ | PG Saginaw Nouvel Catholic Central | 2024 State MI pass the 1000 point mark just makes the world seem right. He’s been one of the most electric shooters in the state of Michigan for more than years now. Yeager has the type of jumper from beyond the arc that can flat out change the momentum of a game. The best part of him joining the 1000 point club is the fact that he’s actually worked to take the focus OFF his shooting and scoring. We all, college coaches included, knew he could shoot. But over the last couple of years, Yeager has highlighted his ability to run an offense, get open teammates the ball and defend at a high level. All of which he does at a VERY high level.
