We introduce our updated Class of 2024 rankings!! Rankings are subjective and PrepHoops.com ranks purely upon potential and where the player will be at their basketball peak. Production factors in only when helping prove the potential is greater or lesser. Why did we rank these guys? Why are they at this spot? Crafty undersized point guard. Xialin showed a wide variety of dribbling moves during PrepHoops 250 Expo in Bartlett way back in September. Lenoir's scoring prowess is somewhat muted for LaVergne as the team is bolstered with a strong team, but he can get his own when he needs to. Lenoir will remain in the 75-100 ranking range because he is just a smidgeon shorter than most college-bound lead guards and his hops are merely average. Sees the floor well.

Last February, Jaylen altered the planetary axis by dropping 47 points! Taylor is jet-quick. The knock on him is that he is so slender. If the refs allow a brutish game, then JT is likely to get bumped off of his preferred path to the rim.

A 6-foot-2 shooter, Nic Hyche Nic Hyche 6'2" | SG Ensworth | 2024 State TN collects and releases the ball as fast as any shooter within our borders. Hyche plays with great basketball posture and surprisingly quick feet. Hyche played great in a win over Jefferson City (MO) just after Christmas. He scored 20 points to help sophomore Louis O’Keefe Louis O’Keefe 6'3" | PG Ensworth | 2026 TN upend a tough team.

Thin 6-foot-7 forward, Randin Johnson Randin Johnson 6'7" | PF Cordova | 2024 State TN plays above the rim for a State Tournament-aspirant. Cordova is loaded with scorers ( Julius Thedford Julius Thedford 6'3" | SG Cordova | 2024 State #186 Nation TN , Emerson Tenner), but Randin gives them needed rebounding and post defense. Johnson can shoot is a little bit and he comfortably plays above the rim.

Deshun Payton Deshun Payton 6'3" | SG Rossville Christian Academy | 2024 State TN is making his PrepHoopsTN debut. Deshun is a worker bee, a leg-churner. Payton commits defensively and can hold down anybody playing 2-4, maybe the 5 at the high school level.
