PICTURED: [player_tooltip player_id='2089495' first='Jeremiah' last='Hayes'] (Fayette-Ware)

We introduce our updated Class of 2024 rankings!! Rankings are subjective and PrepHoops.com ranks purely upon potential and where the player will be at their basketball peak. Production factors in only when helping prove the potential is greater or lesser. Why did we rank these guys? Why are they at this spot? Take a look at five Class of 2024 prospects and learn a little about their reputation. Peruse the complete 2024 rankings.

#86 [player_tooltip player_id='1522575' first='Caleb' last='Asbaty'] (Knoxville Catholic)

Caleb is putting up 10.8 points per game. Asbaty's 3.3 rebounds per help and his 3.9 assists per leads the team. Asbaty is shooting 40% from three-point land (23-58) and 47% overall. Asbaty is 6-foot-1. He plays with his shoulder on attack. Facing Baylor School the senior elected to back down his man a little bit and set up shop from 12' out while looking to pass. Asbaty does not force shots and plays with poise. His ranking is hurt somewhat my just modest athleticism. Though he handles the ball well for a high school senior he lacks the explosion or silly handle to get by plus defenders.

#87 [player_tooltip player_id='2321862' first='Azavier' last='Zanders'] (Cordova)

Cordova is 19-1 and angling for a deep State Tournament run with a remarkable senior class.

https://x.com/xcareythepg/status/1622689331390423040?s=20

#88 [player_tooltip player_id='1646373' first='Tacarey' last='Monday'] (Clarksville Northwest)

Exceptionally quick. Can be a bit turnover prone. Monday's shot can take a little too long to come out of the chute. Still a little thin for the position, once he gets to college basketball.

#89 [player_tooltip player_id='2089495' first='Jeremiah' last='Hayes'] (Fayette Ware)

Sturdy, hard-charging running back of a hooper. Hayes uses his shoulders and chest to get to the danger zones on the floor. Good scorer. Great defender. A little short for a college "2". Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1676952' first='Eric' last='Jones'] is the more prototypical point guard.

Hayes is averaging an impressive 2.8 steals per game. Jeremiah leads the 16-1 Wildcat team by scoring 16.4 points per game with 8.3 rpg to go with it.

#90 [player_tooltip player_id='1309474' first='Hudson' last='Gill'] (Hendersonville)

Spry forward. Gill extended his shooting range out to 18' in the last year. The team chooses to give him primary ball-handling duties now, which is interesting. At 6-foot-6, Gill was often a face-up forward during his sophomore and junior seasons, but this change puts a spotlight on his developing handle. Can he play guard in college? Unlikely. Still, facing 4a opponents with his dribble puts him in tough spots that he must conquer, so hopefully it helps him long-term. Gill does not try to dribble by guys often, usually electing to get to a spot and pick up the ball instead of breaking down a defender. Soft touch and height made him a Top 50 guy two years ago. His comfort around the rim is still impressive, but he needs to get more mass, more good weight in order to finish against hulking college players.
