With over 30 teams and hundreds of college coaches in attendance, the Hoop Hall Prep Showcase had tons of talent from all over the country and is always one of the top events in the country.
Here’s a look at part one of the standouts from the New England schools in attendance.
Kur Teng Kur Teng 6'4" | SG Bradford Christian | 2024 State #37 Nation New E | 6’5” WG | Bradford Christian 2024
The Michigan State commit has shown time and time again he’s one of the top players in New England, and he did it yet again at Hoop Hall with a couple huge performances. He’s known for his shooting prowess and he shot the ball very well from deep off the move, he showed good balance when getting to spots and making tough midrange jumpers and he competed on both ends at a high level. He finished with 18 points and 7 rebounds in their win over Brewster and 19 points and 3 rebounds in their win over Phelps.
George Turkson George Turkson 6'8" | PF Bradford Christian | 2024 State #123 Nation New E | 6’8” PF | Bradford Christian 2024
The Texas A&M commi was fantastic at the event leading BCA to a 2-0 record and showing why he’s one of the most versatile two way players you’ll come across in the country. With his blend of size and athleticism, he’s able to play and guard multiple positions on the floor, he is a very good rebounder and rim protector and he showed a lot of development in his all-around offensive ekillset. He finished with 9 points and 5 rebounds in just 14 minutes in their blowout win over Phelps, and he had 13 points and 16 rebounds in their win over Brewster.
Warren Keel | 5’10” PG | Bradford Christian 2026
Keel showed flashes of brilliance last year with BCA as just a freshman, and after a year playing 17U on the Adidas Gauntlet he looks like he’s taking the turn and looking like one of the top young guards in the NEPSAC. He’s a very poised and patient guard who doesn’t get sped up and can handle pressure well, he’s a talented shot maker who gets to spots and can make tough shots and he sets the tone on the defensive end as well. He finished with 10 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in their win over Brewster, and an impressive 24 points and 8 assists to just one turnover in their win over Phelps.
Andre Mills Andre Mills 6'3" | CG Brimmer & May | 2024 State #116 Nation New E | 6’5” WG | Brimmer &May 2024
While Brimmer & May struggled going 0-2 on the weekend, there wasn’t a single individual who had a better showing than Mills who is committed to Texas A&M next year. The 6’5” wing is one of the hardest playing national recruits I’ve ever seen as he brought high energy on both ends of the floor, he showed elite athleticism playing above the rim with authority and he made shots from all over the floor in both games. He finished with 52 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals against Massanutten and 43 points and 6 rebounds against South Kent.
Jaden Zimmerman Jaden Zimmerman 6'5" | SG Cushing Academy | 2024 State New E | 6’5” WF | Cushing 2024
Zimmerman has been one of the biggest stock risers in the NEPSAC so far this season, and he showed why at Hoop Hall with a couple of big performances and showing his tools that translate. He has great size on the wing and is a good athlete with a good frame, he stays in attack mode and is able to get downhill off the bounce and he has tons of potential on the defensive end too. He finished with 20 points and 2 steals in their loss to Putnam.
Jacob Davis Jacob Davis 6'7" | PF Cushing Academy | 2025 State New E | 6’7” PF | Cushing 2025
Davis is having a breakout season for Cushing and had a good showing in the game I watched, where he displayed a blend of size, athleticism and skill that will translate well to the next level. While he’s a little undersized he is mobile and can switch and guard multiple players, he’s an inside-out threat on the offensive end and he still has a lot of room to get better moving forward. He finished with 15 points and 5 rebounds against Putnam.
