These young guards are all starting for the their respective teams and have been asked to contribute offensively, all leading their teams in scoring at some point during the season. This crop of combos could easily find themselves getting a lot of interest from colleges as they finish the season and head into grassroots play.

Simply put, Kurston is one the best shooters in Northeast GA and the state of Georgia as a whole, barring class. He’s had back to back games season scoring 35 points and 33 points respectively, cashing on 7 three pointers in the 35 point performance. His ability to attack the basket, with good strength, allows him to create contact and get to the free throw line often. In his 33 point performance, Kurston shot a perfect 100% from the charity stripe, going 14 for 14. Kurston’s ability to catch and shoot, create for himself, and put the ball on the floor makes him a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Already having an effective and efficient fadeaway jumper, allows him to find ways to score even when the defense plays him well. On the defensive end his physicality has the ability to annoy ball-handlers and force them to display their dribbling and IQ. As he continue to improve his playmaking skills, this three-level scorer is going to be one to watch over the next few years.
Qua Watson Qua Watson 6’3″ | SF East Jackson | 2027 State GA is the second leading scorer on his East Jackson High School team. He’s wired to score early and often. His ability to handle the ball, on a string, gives him the confidence to feel like he can get to his spots on the court anytime he wants. He’s and intense competitor that high motor. He has a wiry frame and seemingly long wingspan that allows him to play the passing lanes well, keep his dribble low, and play above the rim whenever he gets ready. He shoots the 3 ball at a high clip and because he’s scored 20+ points in several games, this season, it’s at no surprise he’s showing up on coach’s scouting reports. As he works to add muscle to his frame, he’s going to be even more difficult to guard in the future. His maturation will be one to pay close attention to.
Justin has already started making a name for himself and turning heads across the state of Georgia. He’s a starting guard for the highly ranked North Oconee Titans, a team that’s a Class 4A state champion contender. Justin recently led all scores, scoring a career 23 points in a win over the No. 8th ranked and region opponent, Madison County. Justin has one of the smoothest releases, on his jumper, of anyone in his recruiting class, in Georgia. He’s 6’4″ frame makes it hard for other guards to score on him, often times causing turnovers or blocking shots. He plays the game relaxed and poised and makes good decisions with the ball. He’s a great passer, sees the floor well, and can get to the basket, with either hand, finishing at the rim. Justin’s game suggests his a Division-I caliber guard, and as he continues to score in a variety of ways, and play both ends of the court, he will continue to attract the attention of major programs.

Braydon is a 6’5″, high energy combo guard with a 6’8″ wingspan. His build allows him to impact the game offensively and puts pressure on opposing defenders. When he’s pushing the ball up the floor, in transition, he finds ways to get to the rim and finish with either layups or dunks. Braydon’s length allows him to easily shoot over defenders and it also allows him to play above the rim even within the half court game. At times, he’ll play with his back to the basket, and work defenders of the midrange pull-ups. His ball-handling ability is getting better game by game, and as he continues to improve his dribble, that’s only going to make college coaches more interested that they already are.

Chris Wray
Chris Wray
Chris is arguably one of the best shooters across the state of Georgia, shooting approximately 60% from beyond the arc. Although his 3 point shooting percentage is extremely high, he’s able to impact the game, in other ways, outside of knocking the the deep with high consistency. Chris’s wingspan allows to secure rebounds easily and avoid defenders with different finishes around the rim. Chris does a good job, pushing the ball in transition, looking for easy opportunities to score. His ability to come off screens and attack the defense opens up a lot of opportunities to knock down midrange shots, elbow to elbow, and from the wing with good efficiency. Chris is performing at a level that will soon be one of those the entire Metro-Atlanta area will be aware of.
