It is time to recap this week and look at what our exciting prospects did. Here are the player evaluations from a few of the prospects that I saw in Week 10 of the 2023-24 season.
Games I watched this week: Evansville Harrison at Evansville Memorial, Brown County at Sullivan
Ellspermann is a 6’0 combo guard that has some length him as well. While it took him a little bit to get going, he really started to step up and provide the scoring for the Tigers. He is a player that can pretty much score at all three levels on the floor, has a anice pull-up three game, and really balance out how he scores as well. He played like the best backcourt option for Evansville Memorial and had a team-high 15 pts.
Sims was the best offensive player on the floor this game and it was not even close. He known as a knockdown shooter and that is exactly what he was this game which led him to a game-high 25 pts. He was creating his own shot as soon as he got the ball hitting deep threes and would even hit shots off balance. His ability to work off screens and find the space for a textbook jumper is also really impressive. Just a tough shooter that can get hot at any moment.
Summit is one of the more under-the-radar players in the in-state 2025 class and overall had an impressive showing here. At 6’3, Summit was easily the most athletic player on the floor and doing a great job of creating off the bounce and showed strong drives. Pretty solid on the jumpers but his game is scoring around the rim, using his athletic ability to make those buckets. His game is not the smoothest, but it is affective. He finished with 12 pts.
From start-to-finish, McNair was the best big man on the floor this game. He is a great rebounding big that also shows solid smoothness around rim being able to score on either side of the basket. Thought he was the better rebounder this game between him and Tornatta, as well. Was also impressed with his baseline jumper and would be curious to see him use that a little more. He finished with 17 pts.
Highlights
This was the first time I had a chance to see the 6’4 Sullivan forward Cooper Bock Cooper Bock 6’6″ | PF Sullivan | 2026 State IN and honestly, he may have been the prospect that I was impressed with the most. He was easily the best player on the floor for both Brown County and Sullivan as well as the most athletic naturally. Made his impact felt around the room and showed nice smoothest and explosiveness. Very good rebounder on both ends and what I really liked about him is that he just plays his game and does not get sped up. Moving forward, I would like to see more of his face-up game as well as more of a perimeter game added to his skillset. Interesting player to keep an eye on these next few years.
Highlights
Jesse Hubbard Jesse Hubbard 6'4" | SF Brown County | 2025 IN – 6’3 2025 PF – Brown County:
Hubbard was the prospect that was most intrigued with on the Brown County side of the floor. Very long post player that has some natural strength to his frame. Thought he was smooth around the rim and displayed a solid midrange game, as well. He also ran the floor well for his size. Would have just liked to have seen him demand the ball a little more and be more aggressive on both ends of the floor.
